Long story short... My doctor called me today to say the results of my bloodwork came back and i have low testosterone. He has sent me to meet with an endocrinologist. I just have a few questions. If I am prescribed testosterone will it effect my libido or my ability to have kids?? im sorry if this sounds stupid but im new to all of this?

Thanks

The answer is maybe and maybe. There are lots of causes of low libido. If low testosterone is the only reason your libido is low, then increasing that hormone should increase your libido. In my experience, my estrogen levels affect my libido more than anything else.

As for fertility, lots of guy are able to score a goal while on TRT. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) can help with this if you want to be sure.

If you want to start getting better fast, skip the endo and go straight to Maximus. I wasted months trying to get multiple doctors to do the right thing. Chip and his doctors had me up and running in no time.

It depends on how educated your doc is on testosterone therapy. If he does your therapy how it should be done with test, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and Aromatase inhibitor (AI) then you should be good as far as your sex drive and you should be able to have kids anytime in the future. Most docs dont know about proper testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and just prescribe testosterone it self which will have you on emotional roller coaster, most likely high estrogen and just a rough ride.
Most of us here do our testosterone therapy thru Chip because he is one of the top in the nation and definately knows what he is doing and all of us are very happy with him. Thats who I would consult with if I was in your position and save yourself lots of time and money. Thats what I did.

To answer your question yes testosterone it self will affect your ability to have kids because it shuts your bodys ablity to produce its natural testosterone because you are getting it from an outside source.
