High does v low dose shared experience

Hello All
My first post here and its an experience and a question.
I was in pre-contest diet 5 weeks out from contest and was advised to up my dosage to try and gain some size and hardness.
I was taking per week
400mgs Equ
200mgs mast
200mgs tren

I upped it to
800mgs equ
400 mast
400 tren

The result?
Increased hardness and a 2lb weigh gain after 4 weeks.
Is this to be expected during a precontest diet (1600 cals)?

Well without stats we could play the guessing game all day or is it night? But i do think your diet is guilty, if your diet is shit well my friend you will gain shit.

Diet was 1600 cals low carb high protein moderate fats.
I was disappointed with the gains due to the fact I doubled my dose and expected more.
Is the calorific deficit the issue?
I have read that you can still gain on a calorific deficit with the right combination of drugs and training.
 
Did I miss the test dose ?

AAS do not replace food. 5 weeks out, size gaining is over unless you count water or carbs to fill out muscles. Both which may add to smoothness. #J would be the man here...
 
I was on test p 200mgs and dropped that the week before.
I have been reading another forum where a guy is claiming hes taking 1600mgs of various substances and gaining muscle on as little as a 1000 cals (hes 240 at 6'2)
I have a feeling hes full of shit as my experience differed dramatically.
