High rep squats/deads vs. low reps?!

Lately my form has been ish so im thinking of cutting it way back and doing some lighter bumps and really focusing on the form, etc.

My question is what is the difference in muscle growth between high reps/low reps? I know low reps are obviously better for strength and 6-10 for bodybuilding muscle but what else... and what bout the higher ones like 12-16, etc

Do both, so long as you are challenging yourself to the most reps you can do at a given weight you will benefit in size and strength.

Yes do both. The biggest misconception in training is that there is a one-size-fits-all rep scheme and only one rep scheme works. If youre mostly fast-twist you will do better on low reps though, and the mostly slow-twitch muscle fiber people will do better with high(er) reps.

see what works for you. i usually do low reps on deads and squats but a higher rep scheme in my other exercises for back and legs.

the only thing i used to do wayyy high reps was a set of 20 on leg press.

I can't do high reps (over 10) on deads or squats. I get really out of breath and light headed before my back/ legs feel the burn. I keep my reps 5 - 7 and then higher reps on other exercises like legpress.
