There are so many things wrong in this statement. Considering that you've proven that a) you claim to have read "mentors" book, yet you continuously put out facts that are incorrect, and b) you lack the ability to have an intelligent conversation, I'm going to leave this alone. Obviously with your extensive 12 year experience, you have an indisputable array of knowledge. More power to you.
back to the thread, who trains this way? i dont think volume is my thing... ready for some new growth
1) My Macbook fixes Mentzer with "Mentor" thinking it was a mis spell. Get over it.
2) I LITERALLY have read the Mentzer Book Mind and Body over 20 times. The fact you come in VOMITING statements like "you post incorrect info" and then do not post what I said that was incorrect makes you........an idiot that cannot argue a point in the slightest. Come back with STUDIES showing muscle groups taking 2 weeks to recover. Come back and ACTUALLY QUOTE my "incorrect info" you clown.
3) Coming from the kid that "eats 2000-4500 a day randomly" but "I'll grow when I eat properly?" You are a wanna be coming in here arguing with someone that actually lives a true bodybuilding life and takes it seriously both on the diet, training and knowledge front. Get a clue.
4) You cannot tout a program you've barely been on, saying "it would work if......if....." You aren't correct.
5) The one thing you do have correct is my indisputable knowledge. Glad you get that.
6) Cheers.
Post how long you've been training, what splits you've done and for how long, your best lifts, how much weight you've gained and what "volume" you've done so terribly on that you feel HIT is the only solution. (Hint: it is not, everyone responds to basic volume if applied correctly).
^I am asking these to help btw, something I charge money for, but am willing to lend a hand. If you don't want to post or get help, then let the dogmatic hit bros continue to "help."![]()

Well I've been doing 12-16 sets for everything for quite a while and feel I'm doing too much. It just seems my chest won't grow no matter what! But I really haven't tried low volume/high intensity for a prolonged period of time and I'm thinking it's time to start and try it for a while.
Look anyone who reads a book to train don't know shit so back the fuckin topic at hand not what you rwead and who fucks who
dfresh my bad dude. Got a little bit out of control there.

By the way ironreps I agreed with you
Get over it. Agreed with what? He didn't say shit that was correct. But nice bang wagon jumping resident asshole.![]()
The lifts are pretty solid, kudos for actually performing standing ohp's, those are a killer overall movement.
12-16 is higher than I think you need, so I would porbably do something like this for chest:
BB Incline Press 2 work sets of 6-8 reps @ same weight, then drop weight for 3rd set where you can pump out about 15 reps.
Either a flat db press or a parallel bar dip. Again 2-3 sets first two heavier (8-10 reps) last set max body weight reps (if dips) or 15 reps if db pressing.
Finish with two 12 rep sets of incline db flys.
Done.
8 work sets. Not HIT, not volume. Is what works for many.
yea gonna do dorians blood and guts routine for a while and see how it treats me. the whole less is more is making more sense to me as of late
I think you will enjoy it, his methods are solid. Let us know how it goes.![]()
