whats up bro

for bench i warm up with 225

then jump right into

315 x 10
405x 10
405x10

thats pretty much it for bench -- i dont bench that often my elbows tend to hurt alot when i do them on back to back weeks-- it was my first time doing 500 lbs 2 weeks ago and that was my first time benching in quite awhile-- i do have a goal now though-- i really want to get 600 lbs clean and feel i can if i jump right into it--

i usually do my chest workout as follows

incline bar or dumbells to start

if dumbells

i start with

40lbs to warm up-- no bullshit-- then just hit
150'sx15
150'sx10
150'sx 6 to 8-- depends on how much rest i get between sets-- there are 4 to 5 of us that train together on any given day-- the pace is blistering--also 150 is as high as they go-- we do duct tape 5 lb plates to them but it takes time and can be a pain in the ass when you try to stack them they slide on you

then we hit

incline barbell
315 x10
315x6
315x6 -- -- i suck at incline barbell -- i just cant push the weight for some reason

this is followed by

weighted dips

1 plate 10 to 15 reps
2 plates 10 reps
3 plates 6 to 8 reps---plates being 45lbs

end it with flyes-- by now i am spent

3 sets of flyes -- light weight-- 15 to 20 rep range

that is a typical chest routine--

how is your chest workout set up?? you powerlift?? i have never powerlifted in competition but i have always loved to move decent weight--

it is however taking a toll on me-- some days i feel like i am 100 years old

I like that kind of routine. Close to mine actually. Yep I'm a powerlifter.

I start out with bench, usually 1 good set of 1-5 reps.

Then Incline barbell. 1-2 sets of 3-5.

Then military presses. 2 sets of 3-5.

Then I end with tricep pushdowns. 2-3 sets of 5-10.

Bro you need to put on a denim bench shirt and compete in a PL meet. You could be a 700 bencher if you learn the shirt. How much do you weigh now?

Thanks for posting bro.

house your having elbow pain and your starting at 225 , were not getting any younger bro do a couple of sets at 135 pounds , you cant be in that big a hurry

I think even a pair of football elbow pads, like the kind linemen wear, might help if they're tight enough. What do you think Dadawg?
