haha, i don't really have any calves, not matter what i have ever done. I actually hit them two times a week all summer at all different rep ranges once, and they shrunk a quarter inch over four months.

C'mon ICP, you should know overtraining when you see it, lol.

I measure out at 17.25" personally. My calves (basing on right side measurements) have always stayed just about even or maybe .25" ahead of my arm size. Last year, when my arms were only 16ish, my calves were 16.25" Go figure.

So you are going to tell me that 4 sets a week is overtraining my calves, i doubt it. IMO, overtraining has more to do with CNS than the actual muscle anyway.

question would you train your calves

if they were already 20 inchs (ive never trained them before)
and just work on preportioning the rest of your body

like my bi's are an inch smaller and i know there soposed to be the same

I've been stuck at 17" for what seems like forever.

i dont know what your knees and ankles are like but if they can handle it jumping works, just land on your toes/balls of your feet, use platforms or boxes of increasing heights

Dunno how I didn't see this reply way back when, but no, I take back what I said. That's not overtraining --- I was just basing that off of you saying you did them 2 days per week, so I figured you did more sets than that.

I Have but not that summer. I honestly can not get my calves to grow. I will tell you something, i squated 510 off a box the other day in shorts, and i can only imagine the people in the gym looking at me thinking my little legs were going to break, lol. :)
