How did you spend your 4TH of July?

I built a carpenter's standard door for our cabin, rode a beach cruiser around the neighborhood and discovered my left knee does not like hiking downhill nearly as much as climbing uphill. And I discovered my nephew is a GIANT gear head. So now I have more in common with him than I thought!

Went to a cousin's birthday party, and had way too much to drink (vodka only). Haven't cycled in a good long while now so no waste there. Then spent the rest of the night eating any and everything. Even threw in some pop tarts. Been running alternate day fasting (24 hrs ea. way - up / down etc) just to try it out. Body recovered fairly quickly.

My only regret was not eating any birthday cake. Saved two pieces as I love cake but my wife through them away the next day , since she didn't want me tempted on my fasted day.

I had to work this is my year to rotate working the holidays.

Went for morning hike with the wife, then spent the afternoon with friends eating barbeque and watching a firework show.
