How do YOU train?

Just wondering how the vets here train while on cycle.
Anybody run programs like Wendlers? Lift as heavy as you can for 1-5 Reps? or 85% 1RM for 6-8 reps?

Don't know yet what I will do for my 1st cycle but I want to maximize the gains, obviously. I currently do 3x full body but not sure that would be 'ideal'

I used to run Wendler's 531 when I was cutting and it helped with strength gains, so I might give that a go since you are constantly increasing the weights.

usually i do 3 sets of something, dont really pass more then 6 reps, then move on to the next thing, wait like 30 seconds between sets, usually finish usually in an hour to an hour 1/2

I stay at 3 X 10 and try to be at or near failure on my last rep. I don't do 1RM or any low rep sets. It's too hard on my old man joints.

personally be doing high volume high intensity doing squats for 3 x 20 at 315 is harder than any 455+ heavy squat ive ever attempted. also been doing a lot of overload progression.

I lift heavy 5x5. Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Press, Military Press. For accessory work I do pull ups. For cardio I do sledgehammer, farmers walks, and tire flips.

Im half way trough on my first test e cycle i've gained already 7k, my training is just the same as off the gear, just much heavier.. i stay between 3-10 reps lift as heavy as i can 1-2 min between sets,
alot of 5x5 and drop sets, to failure almost every set. also my workout takes an hour and half now
hope that helps

I overtrain, don't count sets don't count reps and don't stop till I can't do another rep.
And ill still wake up like I never worked out.

Doms isn't a direct reflection if how beneficial a workout is but us prolly change something if you walk normal after a big leg day

I'm not a vet, its my 1st cycle. I workout everyday. In one week I hit every body part twice. I do 4 sets for each exercise and staying within 6-12 reps. Each set I increase weight for every exercise. I'm not that big, but I am a beast.

I've been training constant tension half rep theory with 20-30reps per setbut I still get my full ROM sets in with heavy weight as well.

Dc training, drop sets, heavy negatives, 21s, etc. i incorporate all different shit all the time. Remember its pretty hard to overtrain while ON so take advantage

Nice, lots of different variations in here.
I'm assuming everyone in here is noticing some good gains if that's the way everybody trains! Hahaha.
Sounds like I could do Wendlers boring but big (Which focuses mostly on the big 4 compounds) and just add in assistance work as needed. Want to make sure I am working to failure, too.

This except I pyramid down. I also don't like the 6 rep range; I usually try to stay in the 10-12.

Super high intensity. I'm natty so I need more rest between workouts. Plus I'm 49 so my old man joints take longer to recover!

Example of a pyramid and drop sets/superset leg workout that takes me about 45 minutes.

Squats:
- 6 warmup sets from 135-225
- 325x25, 315x20, 275x20, 225x20, 205x20; only rest is removing plates

Front Squats:
- 205x10, 225x10, 255x8; only rest is removing plates

Bulgarian Squats ss w/Lunges
- 3x10

Leg Extensions
- 5x20 with 30 secs rest between sets

Stiff Leg Deads ss w/Leg Curls
- 3x15

Calves
Giantset; Seated, Donkeys, Standing, Weighted 1 Leg
- 4x20
