Let's say I'm taking 2 iu of norditropin daily, and have a blood test coming up. How long do my hgh levels stay elevated for?

Ok so does that mean if a person has a growth hormone defienciey and does their hgh injection at say 9pm one night and they have a follow up test the next day their growth hormone levels will test low?

yes, if they are deficient to begin with , then any time exogenous GH is not active in the blood stream it will show low. Plus if you inject at night time, then more then likely you will not get a natural pulse of GH while you sleep. so morning time GH levels should be low

Ok, thank you for the great response.. I appreciate it. My pituitary was fried from brain cancer treatment and just recently started on norditropin.

Morning levels will typically be low anyways. The night time pulse you get is normally right after you fall asleep so first thing in the morning would most likely be a trough reading. My natural gh before starting any kind of HGH therapy was .7 first thing in the morning. The range was .1-7. I was told that's perfectly fine even for a young guy under 30 like me.

My hgh level would always test at like 0.1 first thing in the morning and throughout the day but my igf levels would always test high. My igf1 always test at around 300-350 which I still don't fully understand but I saw a neuro endocrinologist at Stanford and was told lots of adults have normal igf levels with adult growth hormone defienciey so had a stimulation test and the highest I reached was 1.4
