People think that theyt can replace natural proteins by popping shakes... most of your protein should come from meat, fish and chicken... Salmon is a GOOOOOOOOD form of protein... they say for every pound you weight, you should intake .5 to 1.0 grams of protein... ex: if you weight 175.. you should intake 175 grams a day...

I still find that hard to beleive

It depends how many times you eat and if you going to get all your protein from solid foods....7 meals may be tough (on your stomach)

There is no substitute for real food. I don't think anyone will argue that. (Except for maybe a supplement company)

With that said, meal replacements and protein shakes do have their place. They can be useful to those who have busy schedules. They're great for post-workout. I find them useful for cranking up the protein intake. I eat over 300g per day but could not do this with real food alone.

During the work week, I alternate solid food with protein shake "meals" (3 shakes per day). On the weekend, I only have one post-workout.

4-5 per day. Always 5 on workout days. There is no way I can get in 550+g's of protein per day in "real" food.

add this question, how do u afford ur protein??? I take one a day for a post shake because it'd cost me 30 bucks a week if not...

i try to get as much protein as i can from whole foods. but i usually take a whey shake before and after my workout. but when i am bulking i take inlarge 2 time a day and a whey shake after my workout.

Two for maintenance on cardio days, three on lifting days - one in morning and then before and after session.
