How much can u Bench Press?

I am no where near these figures but for a small chap handling 35kg dumbells I think that is pretty decent.

I particularly don't look at pushing as much weight as possible, never sacrifice form for weight! You could bench 140lbs and still do enough sets to tear muscle and grow.

just my 5 cents

Take the time to notice the "genetically big/weak" guys form though. It's quality over quantity 100%. I've been accused of "weak" training in certain areas because i prefer the mind-to-muscle concentration method...I want to actually feel the muscle contract instead of just mindlessly going through the movements and bringing other muscle groups into play. 10 times outta 10, 30 times outta 30 and even 69 times out of 69...the guy concentrating on the quality of the lift is going to achieve better results.

I totally agree with that statement 100%
as for me i just make it my last day of the week to see my max bench for brute strength
for instance i workout 5 days a week with weekends off and concentrate on one body part per day Mon- Chest, Tues- Bi, tri's, wed- shoulders, thurs- legs, fri- back
but come friday after my back routine i wanna hit the bench for flat and incline to see what i can max out! not that i just go and do 1 rep on my routines which i see alot of guys doing these days but always make it my last day of the week to perform these tasks :)

anything with 2- 45 plates per side= 225 is nothing to be assamed of bro! thats forsure

^^^^^^^^^^^ all about how a guy moves the weight, Slow, deliberate, 3 second pause at the bottom without resting the weight but ALL the way down and back up without locking elbows (locking out is resting).

Sure my heaving days are over but like to see some of bar bouncers and half rep guys keep up.....lol

I havent maxed in forever the old joints arent happy so I don't go below 4 reps. 255 is about where I stay max wise. Now if you really want to find out who really trains ask them how much they lift doing front lateral raises. only a guy who trains would even know his number.

As for me on front laterial raise for shoulders i dont go heavy at all, 25 pound dumbells is all i do
for side raises the same as well, and for rear delts 35 pound dumbells
but superset them all with dumbell shoulder press at 60 pound dumbells, and feel the burn and get the blood pumpin into the shoulder

A straight forward question deserves a straight forward answer.

Age 25 at 198 gearing a gram a week......paused bench in comp 365. 640 sq 660 dead.

Now at 48..225 x 12-15 on a good day.

Or, using an old power formula where the second rep counts for 10 pounds and each successive rep for 5....maybe 300. ( But I think the exploding shards of my rotator would create a kill zone-blast radius of at least 5 ft Ain t gonna happen..)

Being big looks good but, its all about how much weight you can move and how strong you are in my book. i could give 2 shits about being big, its all about how strong you are

@ 28yrs, 255lbs and crusing atm i can comp bench 375, squat 495 and dead lift 585 lbs

there are quite a few guys at my gym who weigh a lot less and can move crazy weight, always amazes me. i got into power lifting about a year ago. my bench is my weakness keeping my overall total down in power-lifting( im 6-2 with a 6-6 wingspan).

now this is what i love(strongman event training)

Its not how much weight you can move, Its how much weight you look like you can move.......

Yes but you wont see a professional bodybuilder that cant bench or squat a lot. Its all about progression when you are on your way to getting big. Lift heavy ass weights (good form, obviously), progress every week, eat a ton of good food, and you will grow like no other.
