How much protein can your body digest at once?

I have been with some pro athletic dieticians one of them with the Houston Texans and he tells me 100% assimilation at my weight is 35-40 MAX per 2 1/2 hrs but I would say REAL food is this way(Chicken,steak,eggs),powders you should be able to consume 40-50 and that is why I have a shake AFTER my workout.
So by what I have heard by 4-5 of these pros for every
5lbs = 1G protein can be digested.
Just an edgucated avg based on what I have been told.

50g is just a rough average for regular ol people. Bodybuilders can handle much more and steroids allow you to take in even more. Its all about the PTOR. protein turn over ratio. Many things will increase it; steroids, t3, clen, and even cardio.

makes sense

Theres nothing wrong with wanting to know how much ur body can absorb. After all...we're all trying to get the most out of our daily nutrition, right? Or else its just a waste.
You just can't ingest ur 1 to 1.5 gram of protein per lb of weight every day and expect it to all be absorbed. It's not scientifically possible...IMO.

you guys are putting way too much though into this IMO. I would say 9 times out of 10 the reason people can't gain is cuz they don't eat enough. Stop talking about whether you need 1.5g/lb or 1.6, whether you can digest 40g or 50 and go eat a goddamn steak. lol!

You must make a fucking fortune $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
225G protein instead of 325G protein could save you $2000 a year!
That's on toilet paper alone :insane2:

I read once a long ass time ago, that your body can only digest up to 50g of protein at once and if you can in anymore than that in one meal, then its pretty much pointless. Is there any truth to this, or does anyone know the max amount of protein you can take in during one meal?

Who was their test subject, a 7 year old girl or Ronnie Coleman? How many meals were taken in the day? What was in the rest of the meal itself that might have affected digestion?

Do you see my point? No two bodies are alike, and I'm seriously mystified that others don't see this on their own. I think I'm going to kick the next person that says "30 grams" or "32.75 grams per sitting" in the balls.

You need more fiber in your diet if you spend even a fraction of that, I spend about $14 every 2 months or so, no bullshit.
