My pecks are much fuller towards the lower outer portion. What exercises to do guys recommend to strengthen the inner peck (IE. to the right and left of the sternum)

What exercises are good for strengthening the upper peck?

Thanks guys!

In order to strengthen the upper peck, I advise you go with incline dumbell presses, dumbell flys (flat bench or incline bench) and if you like, then incline barbell press. All great excericises for hitting the peck minor.

Im not a believer in shaping exercises (inclines for upper chest, declines for lower chest)... I think the muscle works on the "All or nothing" principal.... that is the whole muscle contracts or none of the muscle contracts.... it doesn't matter what angle you have it at..as far as developing the inner chest... I think its in your genetics...either you have it or you don't...

i would agree with fantom your chest depends on your genetics. try doin some weighted dips those always gave me a different feeling in my chest. lean as far forward as possible to hit the chest hard.

For your inner chest you could try flexing really hard at the top of a chest exercise,,, if you do flys, when you hit the top, flex your chest really hard and hold for 3 seconds, then unflex and lower the weights and repeat,,, make sense? hope so, good luck.

ptretend you have a pencil in between your chest -- squeeze the pencil at the top of your movements --

pretty much what bbs was saying

You can try rotating dbs during flys so thumbs point outwards by the end of the movement for more of a squeeze, and can also hold the weight above a point further down the sternum or abdomen depending on incline or comfort level to get that little bit of extra squeeze. And dont forget a good stretch on the negative.
