How young is too young to take HGH?

I know someone is going to tell me to go research HGH for asking this, but rather than asking GOOGLE or something like that I would prefer to ask it on here and get feed back from people who know what they are talking about... Anyways I'm 20 and 5'8" I hate my height. I would really like to take HGH while my growth plates are most likely still open, although I would get x-rays before taking if I do happen to decide to take it, am I too young for HGH? I mean I honestly don't see any use for it once my growth plates grow up because that's basically the only reason I really want to take it, and also for the size it puts on you. Please get back to me because I'd really like to start researching HGH, but I'm not going to even take the time to read up on it if I'm too young to take it anyways...
Thanks

I would recommend that you see a qualified endo for this. At your age it could effect what height you might have gotten natuarally. In other words I believe in some cases it can expedite the closing of you plates. The use of hgh for short stature usually starts at a much younger age. Im no expert, but I would discuss this withg the doc. You might be surprised at his willingness to work with you.

ok, ask a doc cause i heard of younger than 16 year olds given HGH by their docter. my oldest friend was given HGH at about 15 years old when i went to the doc with is parents. he told me he was given a shot then later denies that he took anything but its obvious, he stoped growing at age 11 or so and sky rocket 4 inches in about 2 months or so. read medical articles on google, i red some where that if you over 18 and still didnt start shaving you might have a hormone defficency, their for you would most likly precribed HGH. age 35+ is when it might be needed do to the fact that most males 35+ test production decreases.

HGH promotes growth in children and plays an important role in adult metabolism. The body secretes the hormone, in decreasing amounts, throughout our lifetimes. The amount of hormone in the body can be measured by levels of IGF-1 (Insulin Growth Factor). Growth hormone has a profound effect on all the cells of the body, more than any other hormone because it is the cell generator.
