Humalin r and trianing modification

When to take Humilin r Correctly

I am going to start using Humilin r with GH. I am reading diff. threads on how and when to take it. I am going to start with 2iu. a day with 2iu of GH. My concern is how to change my eating schedual to take the shot of insulin. Here is a complete log of my eating times and training times. Can anyone suggest what may work best.

Breakfast 6am
6eggs white
40z oatmeal
16 oz oj

8am
Bagel with peanut butter

10
Lean Body Shake with water

noon
8 oz beef
4oz rice
vegges

2pm
muscle milk with skim milk

4pm
lean body shake with water

workout from 5-6pm
with carbo force

7pm dinner
8oz beef
4 oz rice
greens

9pm
sweet potato
cup of fat free cottage cheese


My body weight is 200lbs, very lean.
Am currently using 2iu gh in early am before breakfast
750ml test enan.

I want to use slin but i want more opinions on when to take it. Should I have a protein shake after workout and eat dinner later. If so wht should I have for a shake. And my other concern is the fat content in my dinner. how long should I wait to eat.

dont you have to have a script for humulin? my dad is diabetic, and one day i was over there and told him that humulin r can be used as a steroid and he threw them away (he takes pills--just kept them there for emergencies) now he has humulin N...ha ha
 
In answer to your question.....

You dont have to change your schedule. I had a shot and a shake with 10g's of glucose per i.u. of Hum R post workout. THIS IS A SAFE, STARTER DOSE of GLUCOSE. You can play with the grams of glucose as you get accustomed to it. (I got down to 5-6.....
Everyone says you have 15 minutes to consume your glucose laden shake, but HAVE IT READY. (I learned the hard way.) An hour to 90 minutes later, have your "tuna fish and rice." Remember that everything you eat for the duration of the slin = no fat content.
 
so should I take a carbo force with the shot, then drink my lean body shake imediatly? Will the lean body shake have enough carbs post slin. also do i have to stop eating beef with dinner. i am eating 90 percent lean so not much fat

would go as follows
2iu with carbo force and lean body shake

2hrs later dinner

I agree with everything wannabe said. 10 grams of carbs per iu of insulin is safe. After using insulin for a long time, I learned that I did not need that much. Like wannabe I eventually got down to 5-6, but it would be idiodic to try that without a lot of experience.

You should start insulin at about 2 ius post workout. You can add an iu up to 10 as you get used to what happens. Always have your carbs ready. In fact you should probably take the carbs right before the insulin, just to be a "belt and suspenders" kinda guy. You should also have some whey protein post workout along with your carbs. Part of what we are trying to do is force amino acids into the muscle cells along with glycogen (sugar).


I also like my next meal about 90 minutes after the shot.

It may be dangerous to be shooting insulin as late as you are. Humalin R can stay active for 6 or more hours, so you don't want to go to bed and not wake up because you've gone hypo. Keep this in mind.

As he mentioned, you want to avoid dietary fat while the insulin is active. However, the lean beef is ok. I wouldn't eat peanut butter while insulin is active. If you weren't doing that, months down the road, you could consider adding another shot of insulin with breakfast. Remember to keep carbs in you while it is active and to keep extra carbs handy. Sometimes strange things can happen and it is best to be prepared.
