i feel chest much better when doing narrower grip dips

i tried doing wide grip dips with leaning forward and my power really decreased. i also didnt feel chest too much.

i switched to a little narrower grip (but still a bit wider than shoulder width) and my power really increased and also i felt much more stretch and chest work.

is this normal?
 
yes my boy, its perfectly normal . Dips are great compound movement just watch ur shoulders especially with weighted dips . If ur a noob or even if ur not a noob its a great idea to throw in some rotater cuff exersises 3-4 times a week so u dont snap ur shoulder up . trust me not fun
