I need advice

Any tips for a diet. Im 22 i havent the least idea where to start. I drink tons of milk, juice and water. cant stand sodas, i dont eat candy bars and the only thing i get from mickey d's is a fish fillet. i eat southern soul food. i do admit its alot of fried foods, but other than that im talking, greens, okra, corn, beans, and things of that sort. my grandmother cooks every night! what kind of foods do i need to eat to speed up my metabolism and start shredding fat?

I like a "South Beach" sort of diet as a starting point; it's not totally carb-less and impossible to maintain like Atkins, etc. The first couple of weeks are rough breaking the carb habbit. I'd at least cut the juice way back (it'll be gone if you go on South Beach); fried foods and the fat are your likely culprit, and likely saturated fat with the southern / soul food if it's any good, and my guess is it's great :). I love that stuff, just can't eat it every day... See if your grandma will cut the stick of butter and bacon out of the greens, etc. or use a lot less, or go with raw veggies; some small changes could help you drop 10-20 and get you going on the right path to make more changes going forward. Fresh green beans sauted in a very small amount of olive oil with some onions or shallots, garlic, and spices you like can cut 1000 calories out of a dish that uses a stick of butter and a ham hock, grilled fish instead of fried, etc... Just try to find some changes you can live with at first and watch the portion sizes... The weight will come off.
 
go for, skimmed milk fella, what sort of juice is it, natural or man made, man made ditch it, water drink loads, carry a litre bottle with u always drink it. you need to portion control ur meals aim for 300 - 350g per meal, watch what sort of greens u eat, peas are fast digesting and turn to sugar to quick, go for broccoli or asparagus, try to eat lean meat rather than fatty meat, increase ur protein intake to 2g per 1lb of body weight.
Eat at least 6 times a day and plan ur meals each week so you know what ur eating every time and what time to eat it
 
Southern cookin rocks ! It s also why there s so many southern from my dads age group widows..fried every fukin thing.
You got to get used to being a bit hungry; shrink your stomach. Baked fish chicken, steamed veggies..cut down breads, potatoes, pastas, fried shits out.....Mc Dee s is no longer an option cept for the salads....and you got to MOVE.
Aint no short cut to what your needin...tren and roids and clen..are you serious..with your anticipated cholesterol and I suspect, blood pressure..these will surely speed up your demise.
This will take a year or 2 of concentrated effort bro...or...I hear crack, meth and blow work real well as appetite suppresants..and make you move...Jokin cuz.
go to the gym, track, climb stairs..off the couch. I m done..I promise.
 
26lb's in 30 days is 99% water loss. he'll gain most if not all back in a few days of normal lifestyle. there is no quick fix... one must dedicate themselves to eating good, clean... cardio... weightlifting... and a lot of sex. this is the only way.

Matt, it's been over 2 months and going on 3 right now since his weight loss. hasn't gained anything back. 99% of water would mean with going all out training and lifting wise he lost only 0.25 of 1 lb? lol
 
look cardio isnt my thing! at one point in the military i was running 5 miles a day and hated every fuckin minute of it! i was just askin if its a necessity. I know low weight with lots of reps can produce the same stimulated heart rate as a treadmill. I know i have to stretch, but if cardio can be avoided at all during my transformatinon then i dont want to fuck with it. If it has to be done to get shredded to the bone then so be it. aside from your comments do you have any advice?

Now if you had a very high metabolism cardio could be minimal. I never do cardio and stay around 12% body fat and thats with eating like a horse. I lift my ass of in the gym tho and go to fight practice. If you have a slower metabolism you will have to do some cardio (swimming, biking or lots of sex).
