Does anyone have any good articles/links about compound movements, squats, deads, PLing, etc... being the best for building size and strength.

I've been showing my gf's younger brother (15 y/o) how to lift and he's stuck in the doing 30 sets of preacher curls m-w-th-f as a workout. Plus his parents don't want him to get so big and muscular to the point he cant play sports, no matter how many times I explain to them that aint gonna happen. The kid is a string bean.

I don't need anything fancy or scientific, just some stuff for him to read that explains it in laymans terms that'll convince him and hopefully his parentals.
 
Make him read all the "Words from Iron Addict" at the top of the page. There is a lot of good info like that in there.
