i want to comment on going to the doctor threads/bloodwork

I have read especially on other female boards, that people say get bloodwork done and or go to the doctor to get bloodwork done. Well this may be practical and intelligent I think any doctor I would go to in my State considering I am not training for the Olympics or a professional Female BB would throw me the hell out. I mean most doctors wont even write a muscle relaxer and or pain pill. Asking for a xanax is like you have to be crawling the walls of the office. I mean this is kinda unrealistic for alot of us. I am in the State of extrememly paranoid Doctors who are so conservative they would throw me the hell out, call the cops , or lecture me to no end. There is no way I am telling my doctor "by the way I am using steriods". Add that your a WOMEN, they are read to call the nut house on you or recommed a good shrink. This is not an options for some of us. So thats why I think alot of us really are greatful for boards like this. Just had to get that out. Thanks

there's no help!

I hear you!
I'm a male and was doing swimmingly on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but then I stopped due to a more serious injury. A year later me T levels were just below 400. T levels for my age range from 218 to 840. She, the Dr, claimed I didn't need any trt. True I was in the spectrum and not off the chart but that doesn't mean I was in my optimal range. Also when I was on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) she refused to even talk about anti estrogens. While on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I didn't cycle. I didn't gain 15 lbs of lean mass. My test levels were normal while on trt. I had small spikes and she stated that there were normal.
I don't have the means to jet to CA or Fl to find a specialist or Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) clinic.

I suggest you go in and ask for bloodwork without telling them you are doing steroids.

Just make up a little white lie and tell them an old doctor suggested it yearly or you are worried about cholesterol or that another doctor suggested it and you wanted a second opinion. You could also say you are a world class athlete anyways. You are fit and your doctor won't know better. Or say your coach has put you on some new supplements and you want to make sure everything looks okay.

I'm lucky....I'm in Canada and doctors seem to be more liberal than down in the US.

I agree with Miss Muscle with the white lie! You can tell your doctor your feeling extremely tired and they will gladly order blood tests. Insurance will usually always cover blood work even if done outside of your yearly physical. I wouldn't mention the other doctor, cuz then they might want to see those results too.

I've had so many blood tests since I'm a hypochondriac. Each time I complained about fatigue or when I went to my obgyn (after watching the special on Oprah about hormones) I complained about having those systmes and had all sorts of blood tests run

boy all of this attention

Thanks for the post. To be honest I feel special lol.
I have many new changes in my life like no health insurance blah blah blah. So I fired my old Dr sometime ago. Currently I'm think I will try some Tes undecanoate using the standard protocol followed up by blood work as a way to double check for legitimacy. I also will scout around the country for a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic that has a yearly face to face. Hey I may even find a job too lol.

Yet my hearts bleeds for the women in USA especially in this sport. Maybe someday your bodies will be your bodies.

Peace love n joy

Haha! Better safe than sorry!

You can order bloodwork through Life Extension. Just order the "female weightloss panel." This panel has the hormone tests and general tests that you would need.

It costs about $325 (you pay), but isn't tied into the U.S. health insurance system and your doctor never has to know.

There are also some places online where you can order bloodwork. Price is about the same.

I didn't know these existed! Good stuff although if possible I would try and get bloodwork from both to compare. If both are the same keep using the labs1
