Idea's/Best Gadget for data at the gym? *********

Im looking for something like a "handheld" to record/reflect progress in the gym.... Im making strentgh gains/feel this will help with motivation/seeing whats working/accuracey etc... with all the different excercises we do, i hate wasting a set trying to remember/dial-in previous setting on equipment. Im not really up-to-date with this sorta thing

pen and paper too high speed for you? lol

Just get a simple journal at Wal Mart for less than a couple bucks. And a pencil is like a penny. There you have it. There's your gadget.

Ipad uh, no...Im not THAT guy... like something the size of a blackberry.. reasonable priced. Just figured there was something basic out nowadays

when i see dudes in the gym texting i want to punch them in the face. Same for guys who wear their phone on their hip, or in the pocket of their gym shorts.

Unless your mother is near death, your wife is pregnant, or you're expecting a call to win the mega millions, there is no reason anyone should be on their phone in the gym.

You're there to get jacked, not talk on the phone. :D
 
I use....pen and paper. If you really want you can organize it on your computer when you get home, do a spreadsheet if thats your thing, do the online journals, etc,etc.

Your supposed to be getting sweaty and down and dirty in the gym.
 
Pen and paper for me as well. It's nice to just be able to flip a few pages and find out where you were in past workouts. I also have a spreadsheet printed out that I use to list my weight/BF/waiste size that I keep posted on the fridge.

Yes, thats good to keep track at home too, the whole idea is to have it with me...
As far as getting down in the gym, i get mine in up there.. .. i officaly give up on this thread lol

Your complicating lifting too much...your putting too much into "paperwork" even if it is digital. I mean other than your reps, time @ cardio, etc what do you need to record?
 
I bet there is an app in the android market for it... You guys would hate me I have my phone in my pocket all the time, but it has all of my music on it..
