My endocrinologist is making me stop testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 6 weeks so he can have a new baseline blood test. I went from 200 mg/w test cypionate injection, to cold turkey. My original total test level was 157, anyway after a few weeks of I wearing off I get back pain, and upset stomach. He prescribed me zofran for stomach pain, and tried to send me to a pain management doctor for my back. Anyway I was wondering if there is anyway to lower the side effects without messing up blood test results.

Why is He taking you off TRT?!? No clomid? HCG? Nothing to help your body restart? Never heard of gut proplems from getting off testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? Can u expand please?

I have seen a loss of T/DHT cause just about every problem imaginable. I don't see why you need to be off the drug for 6 weeks to get a blood test. Usually a good week or two off the drug is all you need if you are doing 200mg/wk. That's my experience with blood tests at least. The half life of these drugs are slightly overstated.

original doctor

my original doctor just pulled one blood test and it was just for total test and it showed 157. my endocrinologist, said that he wants my system clear of anything to make sure that i need testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at all, and also he said that he can see what is causing it from the blood and give me a proper diagnosis. I just had a pituitary mri and everything came back normal. he also said he might do a stimulating injection and then take some bloodwork. stimulating lh and tsh i think. i had body aches, and dizziness, and also my stomach felt upset he said low t causes acidity in the stomach.

Interesting! I wonder what kind of stimulant shot he's going to give you? The only stimulation for lh and fsh that I heard of was clomid, nolva-oral. Best of luck w/ your gut issues.. I hope this guy knows what he's doing.. Keep us posted

I would hope that he does not intend to us triptorelin as his "stimulating injection."

A very suspect case study of one Italian subject reported the use of a single shot of triptorelin as a possible means of stimulating natural test production.

From what the OP described, I would think that the physician would be leaning toward HCG-only therapy.
