Here's the story guys. I will keep this as brief as possible so I don't make people read a wall of text. Uptil this point, I've always been kind of a lethargic guy. My family always saw me as lazy because I do things slowly sometimes (physically not mentally lol).

After working out for a year, following a solid diet. I wouldn't see the gains I should have. I thought, man what am I doing wrong? I requested my doc to give me a bloodtest for hormonal profile.

I'll break this down..

My Appearance
-5'6"
-147 lbs (22% bf)
-Look very young, facial hair grows but only on chin and upper lip and very small hairs.

Diet
Solid diet with 1-1.5 g protein/bodyweight
Good carbs
Good fats

Bloodwork
All in normal range except these
Serum Test 210 ng/dl
Total test (can't remember the value but was also low)
Prolactin 389, VERY HIGH

MRI Brain results
Small lesion/tumor on pituitary gland and diagnosed with Prolactinoma

Sonogram of Testes
TESTES NORMAL

Doctor puts me on the following Drugs
Bromocriptine 5mg/daily

Testosterone Enanthate 200mg/week

No HCG...

So I took bromo for a few days and threw up during school, missed two exams and so I said screw this. I got my cousin who makes trips to india to bring me Cabergoline (Dostinex) 5mg and I started by taking 2.5 mg twice a week. Now I take 5 mg once a week.

I told doctor to give me Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and they said I don't need it
I asked for dostinex and they said they haven't heard of it.

I get a second opinion and same result....

So my question here is this....

The doctor said I have prolactinoma AND hypogonadism. However, from my research, I have learned that high prolactin CAUSES low testosterone. So theoretically, shouldnt fixing the prolactin naturally make my test levels normal?

I have mild gyno on my chest, only barely noticable.

I took 1 test shot in the thigh and then I stopped, I'm not going to **** with my body at a young age, I want kids someday.

What do I do? I already got a second opinion from and Endo and have already wasted over 600 dollars :(

Please help

I'm in DFW area if anyone has suggestions

Basically you probably need to take bromo or have the tumor removed. You could take T as well, but personally Id opt for the surgery as its sucessful lik 80% of the time, then you might not have to take anything. But he may be right Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) may do nothing for you

Why would Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) do nothing? It's critical to keep Hpta functioning properly. Also, he said there's a high success rate from the medication.

I do not take bromo anymore just dostinex.

yeah I dont know, if your pituatary isnt working I was thinking the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) wouldnt do anything. But in either case if you got the tumor fixed then you might be free of medication forever.

HCG would work, but only as long as it was constantly supplemented. And that's assuming his testicles respond to gonadotropins (LH and FSH, basically).

OP, you're lucky that you at LEAST know what the cause of your low testosterone is. A lot of guys, like myself, with your features (short height, high body fat, with crap gains or none at all) can't even get the cause as to what's going on. So, basically what I'm saying is, it's good news (kind of) that they were able to locate the cause to your problem. I recommend getting the tumor removed vs lifelong testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) should always be the last resort, ESPECIALLY in cases like yours where a cause is found where a solution (to remove the tumor) should at least be attempted.

I literally have the same features you do pretty much, and I'm still arguing with doctors over a year later trying to get my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) medication, but they are making me jump through so many hoops due to my age alone. Doesn't even matter to them that I have shit loads of symptoms, either. -_-

Anyways, good luck! Keep us posted!

Hey man,

That sucks to hear that you won't get TRT! I was excited about getting the shots too because I could basically get legal steroids. However, if you think about it, it SHOULD be the last resort for young men because the side effects far outweigh the benefits; at least for our age.

Also, removing the tumor means I have to get brain surgery. Honestly that's just about the scariest thing ever... :(

Brain surgery is a scary idea, but surgeons are pretty good at such things these days. I suggest investigating the possibility. The more you know about it the less scary it will seem. Then make a decision.

Good luck, and let us know what you decide and how it turns out!

The surgery is not as crazy as you would think. they dont cut your skull open or anything and really its all tubes and lazers that kind of thing. I would really look into it. And like said you are lucky, they have clue to why I have a problem at least you know.

To be honest with once they discovered I had low I was like great now I can feel better. Then second came the thought of man now I can get jacked with legal steroids. Truthfull this chit is getting old, having to shoot up, buy the supplies, get the supplies, get blood test, and see the doctor. Is it worth it HECK YEAH!!! But if I had an option to feel great and not do it, I would have my gear in the trash can faster that you can say low T. Also the doc is probably never going to give you enough to go buck wild anyways and would have supplment your legal stuff with black market stuff.
