Can i add a inch or at least half with my stack? I've done it before with same compounds, but this time no carbs. Either way i want to lose this fat on stomach and unleash the buffed monster hiding under my skin lol

Is that a good thing? Im actually nervous ive never eaten without carbs and it goes against my personal reasoning lol

It is a joke. The pounds fly off the first few days on a keto diet (water and glycogen) but not eating carbs those first 2-3 days is really tough. I had cravings really bad! But the pounds disappearing motivates you to keep going to get to your body fat % goal.

Just remember that your body runs less efficiently on ketones than it does on glucose, so you are going to feel tired -- especially in the beginning as you get used to it. And in the gym or for sports, your performance will be diminished without glycogen stores. For example, that 8th rep will probably be tougher to crank out when lifting heavy.

Lyle McDonald has a great book on ketogenic diets that you should read.

this is just true until the body adapts to full ketosis, thats why refeeds are not smart since they kick you out. i am on keto and zero carbs for months and same strenght as before

also increase electrolytes and zero issues even the first week. most people dont know shit about the keto diet and do it wrongly and then review the diet as crap

also VERY important in the first 2 months to go as high fat as possible to really push the keto adaptation. then fats can come down and calories come into play and the body is used to burning fat and will use its own fat storages = you get leaner

So only carbs come from veggies (fiberous carbs)?

My current meals ...
6-7 egg whites and 2-3 whole eggs and 2 slices of cinnamon raisin ezieckiel bread (low glycemic) and coffee with half & half with sugar. The carbs from the ezieckiel bread come out to 36 G and the rest of the day I may only eat an apple and some pineapple in my cottage cheese. Then I wont eat carbs till dinner (some sweet tater, bbq sauce on my chicken)
So on good days I eat under or around 100g of carbs. On bad days I may hit around 150g. I know I am not going to reach ketosis eating like this but I feel like I am encouraging my body to at least utilize some fat for energy as the +/- 100 g of carbs isn't enough to satisfy my energy needs .

I mean provided I train weights and do cardio plus stay active with daily chores such as yard work, cleaning the house, walking etc. I also work in a job that can be physically demanding. So taking all things into account wouldn't keeping carbs at a minimum at least force the body to look elsewhere for energy??

Sorry 49ER not trying to hijack but I figure since you will be new to the keto diet you may glean some info that is useful. Because I am thinking why not slowly strip away carbs and approach keto slowly and comfortably rather than just drop carbs cold turkey.

All good buddy any info is worth hearing good or bad ill process it then later on down the line figure out if it makes sense or not

YES, only carbs from GREEN veggies, the darker the better and always fresh: spinach, ruccola, broccoli etc. they have some trace carbs but endless mictronutrients which you will need, if you want to adapt properly always stay under 15-20grams of carbs per day, the lesser the better

fat sources: whole eggs, avocados, bacon, butter, coconut and olive and macademia oils, fatty fish like salmon and sardines and many others, creme fraiche, some nuts like almonds and walnuts, mayonaisse 9home made is best, store quality sucks ass, natural peanutbutter or almond butters. keto is ALL about good fats.

keep protein medium at the most and make sure 75%+ of total calories is from good fats

and Anzel, the answer is NO, anything over 20grams of carbs or so for most people means the body is operating on sugars. so by low sugars what you are doing is being in nomans land: not enough carbs to run on carbs BUT more then enough to not force the body to switch to fat burning = nomans land = not good

Ok good info!

So lets say you use ephedra and caffeine for the first 4-7 days to help with lethargy? No prob right?

So at 200-205 lbs. and 5'11" I would run this daily menu;

4 whole eggs, avacado, 1 slice ezeickeil bread (18g carbs)(low glycemic) or substitute almond butter for the avacoado ..... coffee with splash half & half and stevia

Snack
pro shake with almonds/walnuts OR small container of egg whites with 2% cottage cheese OR a Quest bar and a fat source

Sardines/herring/chicken with salad or veggie and use full fat dressing on salad

Snack same as morning snack or another plate of eggs and avacado and /or nut butter

Lean protein with veggies, coconut oil, or avacado

Snack cottage cheese or nut butter and pro shake OR a piece of cold protein from the fridge

Protein servings would look like... 2 whole chicken breast, 2 or 3 burgers (palm size) , turkey breast about 1/2 a pound, 4-6 whole eggs, 2-3 fish (palm size) etc.

How about dairy? Greek yogurt? Milk? Cottage cheese? I know there are carbs from lactose...

give me the macros for this pls

dairy = no no, not because of carbs but some report theier progress just stalls, might be lactose or anything else, same with coffee or nuts. milk, cottage cheese, all have carbs in them. go for coconut milk or even better almond milk = no carbs, no lactose, same good taste

watch them carbs, thats why i said be precise and calculate macros!
