hey assholes my upper chest is real weak in strength and looks i do it dif ways and get tips that people contradict each others statements all the time so itd be cool if a bunch of people gave nice tips to the bench press..most of the time i come by my nipples and push forward like a regular flat press just on an angle with a more inner grip..other times touch upper chest and push back with a wider grip...other times wider grip like the time i described first

Never seen contradicting bench press comments.... Just keep lifting dude. YouTube sme videos if you really need a clue.

The best and only way to really hit your upper chest without using your shoulders is to squeeze your shoulder blades together and keep them that way. Then go a medium grip just past your shoulder width and come ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE TOP OF YOUR CHEST. The reason i say this is because i see so many guys only going like 6 in. away from their chest and your mainly using your shoulders when you do this. And always remember to go nice and slow. Dont worry bout the weight necessarily, just lift as heavy as you can with proper form.

Upper chest is one of those bodyparts that you have to practice alot to get down sometimes. I just realized how to really hit it in the last year or so. Follow those rules and you will hit it good bro

Slow it down, don't mimic the new fad of sloppy form out their with a lot of the pros (YouTube vids) they are on everything but the kitchen sink, so just about anything will work for them (as much as I love Branch Warren, I think he could be even better, with less injury, with better form). Go down very slowly 2-3 seconds, touch just below the color bone on the upper chest, take a medium wide grip, keep the elbows out wide, explode upward after reaching about 1/2 point, try not to bang into the locked position (so as to protect the elbow tendons) pyramid up in weight for less and less reps each set. Take it to, and beyond failure.

Note: last night I did about 6 working x of barbel inclines. It was sat night and no one was in the gym (they were out chasing ass) so I loaded up two inclines next to each other. One with about 100 lbs less than the other. I took the first sets to failure with a spotter with reps in the 6-3 zone (extremely heavy - perfect form) then jumped quickly to the other incline (less than 5 seconds) and did at least another 10-12 reps to failure with the other bar (drop sets). Killer f ing work out! I am raw sore today and I could set a beer on my upper shelf of upper pec muscle!

BTW, I am a believer that one could build a great chest and never do bench (I have not benched for well over 5 years BTW) but replace it with inclines because the incline has a better ability to develop a balanced chest. That is not to say drop bench, but for most, the upper pecs lag, and so incline would be a wise foundational exercise! I believe it hits the whole area very well.
