Injury, possibly from test.

Well, I did a cycle of 500mg of test e for 12 weeks, started in june finished up in august. Did my post cycle therapy (pct), which I finished a couple weeks ago. Well, I play a lot of softball, like 3-4 days a week. Saturday, at the end of my swing I tore my left distal bicep tendon. Now I did go a little crazy with lifting when on, but not overly crazy. I also know that test decreases collagen synthesis, which will make tendons weak, and with the increase in muslce strength can make you prone for injury. I really think that test is why I tore my tendon. Really just looking for other thoughts and wanted people to know, that injury is more possible while on, so be careful.

I pulled out my back twice now. Too much weight doing seated cable pulls. I felt great at the time but the next couple of days it set in. I had to take a week off from lifting b/c it hurt so bad. What a waste of test. Lesson learned....I'm not the incredible hulk. (yet)

True story. My body has put on a lot of muscle in the last year and my tendons and ligaments can't keep up. I have thrown in some deca to help with this. My wrist is all fucked up now because some asshole walked in front of me as I was about to rack a weight, causing me to miss the rack on one side. Its been injured for a good 6 months now. Gotta be careful too when your strength goes up a lot. Hope you get better soon.

Omega that sucks. I know a guy who did the exact same thing hitting a softball. Instant bicep tear on left arm. He's done his fair share of cycles but don't think he was using anything at the time.

I have sympathy for all these stories and hope recovery goes well. My weak points on my body are the shoulders. I do not think this is because I am an electrician and my arms are over my head all day long. I can go on and on about how I twist my arms, pull things, climb, etc., but this isn't the point here.

Each cycle I make damn sure I use something that increases col production. If you think about it the name of the game is joint health. I know this isn't the same as the bicep tear, but the root of the problem is. IMO every cycle should have something to enhance joint health. I don't like the idea of the tren/test cylce because its so powerful and white tissue production is down some 50-80%. If you don't compete there are options that are safer I think.

When I hurt my shoulders I went on IGF-Lr3 and ghrp-2. I beleive this helped me a lot and am probrably going to by more immediately. I suggest anyone with ligament, tendon, or fascia issues does the same.

I have had problems with my elbow since june. It started after my cycle and I also play alot of softball. My elbow didnt start to heal until after the summer season. Now I only play one night a week (fall league) and my elbow feels alot better. So I dont know if it was the Test or the strain from softball.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting on some IGF and ghrp-2. Been reading into it on how much it helps with injuries and such. Question, think I should go ahead and start now....having surgery on monday, and I know the peptides take a while to kick in. So should start hitting me good while Im starting to rehab it. Any advice.

so, just finished up week 7 post op on my arm. The tendon is healing nicely and started back doing curls this week. Doc thinks around 4-6 weeks from now should be back to full strength. I started ghrp-6, and mod-grf about a month ago. Hopefully that helps with the healing process. And for when I do my next cycle. Injuries suck, but they're just a part of what we go though when pushing our bodies.

Def going to run things that increase collegen for every cycle from hear on out.

I did finally get to measureing my arms. Right arm is a solid 19", left arm is 16 1/2". Looks like a t-rex arm. Freaking sucks. Ill be back though, just another month or so.

i have had my share of joint pain since the start of my cycle.
skull crushers have been the mass builder for my triceps, cant do it anymore. elbow are just too f**** up. i call it the "injury exercise" now.
ankles have started to give up since last two weeks on standing calf raises.
glucosamine has helped me a little.

i do doubt that 1 test cycle made a big diffreence in your tendons , if it did all probodybuilders would be completely crippled lol.
i do think that when were on cycle we push our muscles to the limit and unfortunately that pushes the rest of our body that far as well. imo post cycle when your not completely recovered is the time to be especially carefull.

Im sure they run something to counter the collagen synthesis drop from test.

@OP
Run a small dose of Anavar (var) next to the test in the future if you plan to do a simillar cycle.

ive seen hundreds of test only cycles ran personally and none had a major injury. we are athletes sometimes we just get hurt.

True, some are injury prone and some are not. Those who are are already at a higher risk (duh..) and with the tendon "downgrading" it's only bound to happen faster.

yeah, I was the same for skull crushers when on.

And dadawg, I totally agree with you. I think when I got injured I just made some rash accusations, trying to blame something. When the truth is, shit happens. Plan on running test/deca next cycle. And keeping on the ghrp-6 and mod-grf through out.

i think the quick temp difference can also cause it. temp has started to drop now. on my leg day, after my workout i cannot leave the gym in a pair of shorts as i used to, couple of weeks before.
my joints are still warm and sudden cold outside can worsen it.

Just an update. Been a little over two months. Arm strength is coming back nice, but taking it real slow. Most of my presses are almost where they were, but my back and bicep exercises are gonna take another month or so to get back to 100%. Next cycle will be in Feb.

Injuries suck, but when you push yourself, its bound to happen.
