Insulin

I read Monster's Insulin Primer in the Anabolic articles forum, yet there was a big debate on how to fully benefit from the insulin. I have been wondering this also, yet the thread gave no clear cut answers. What has worked for those of you that tried it? How many units and what was your intake particularly of carbs and such. Try to be as specific as possible because that article totally confused me. :(

i keep it simple...4 wks on, 4 wks off..there is no rule to that, i just do it that way, my way...and i start off with 10iu's post-workout only and then go up to 15 the most...simple.

and i eat my ass off thru the day when on slin..thats important.

What about carbs though?

In that article I mentioned they say that about an hour after the shot you should have a certain amount of carbs, thats where I lost them altogether. If anyone could explain it a little better.

And what kind of gains were seen, mass, strength, or both?

Does the insulin have to be refrigerated or can I keep it anywhere I want?

You can keep it room temp for around a month, its quoted at 28 days, but you can keep it a little longer no problem.

As for carbs, its something you'll have to get a feel for yourself. Ive been taking in around 40-50g dextrose with either chicken or whey an hour after with no problem. Some might go higher, but im only shooting 10IU.

A good general rule is to ingest 10g of carbs for every unit of insulin injected. So if you inject ten units post workout (which I wouldn't recommend to start with, you should work your way up to that to see how you respond first) you should ingest a hundred grams of carbs.

bleachcola, dont you think that is a little excessive? That will definately cause unwanted fat gain. I'm thinking up to 60g max.

Not excessive at all. If you inject insulin and don't eat enough carbs to cover it, you will go hypoglycemic and could possibly die. If you don't want to go over sixty grams then don't go over six units.

i've always done it 2-4 weeks at a time once a day after workouts and upon waking on non-workout days

i take between 12- 20mcgs at a time. the amount of AS i'm on dictates this. if i'm not taking any and using insulin to bridge i don't need to go higher then about 14 mcg's. in the middle of a heavy cycle i can use 20mcg's

i have always consumed the same exact things after i take insulin. within minutes of taking it i consume a blended shake of creatine, glutimine, 80 grams of whey protein, and 60-80 grams of simple carbs in the form of cranberry juice and a banana in my shake. between 1-1.5 hrs later i eat a meal w/ about 70 grams of protein from lean steak, chicken or turkey breast and about 70 grams of complex carbs in the form of rice.

i have never had any problems when i do exactly that

i use humulin r

I have access to Lantus insulin, is this good?

And would it be ok if I went through a 4 week cycle of 10 iu along with this cycle:

2 weeks on 2 weeks off 2 on 2 off

20mg M1T
200mg 1-AD
1500mg Hawthron Berry
1000mg Milk Thistle
1 TBSP lecithin granules

with nolvadex for pct

Nothing will interfere with each other correct?

Nope, Lantus is no good. That's a longer acting basal insulin. You need Humalin R or better yet Humalog.

Fructose wouldnt be the best choice for carbs, and not just because of GI rating. AR has a VERY informative forum for igf/gh/slin. I would definatly give it a look.

Lantus is not good bodybuilding slin to use. Like bleach said, Humalog. That's what I've been using. More easier to cover the carbs on the two hour window. Stick to Malodextrin or Carb-Glucose Loader (like Vitargo CGL). Sugar is a little slow, you want something that'll get in your bloodstreams FAST. And yes, 10g of Carbs per every IU. I'd rather get more carbs in then go into hypo. Going into hypo is no fun, you can seriously get hurt. Have some 5g Glucose tabs onhand WHENEVER you run slin. I can't stress that enough. Glucose tabs could save your life if you ever get hypo.

Ok, I think I might be able to get Humalog, though Im not too sure yet. Anyway, there would be no problem if I used insulin during an m1t and 1ad cycle would there?

To double check, take about 5-10 iu in the morning or on lifting days after a workout, then about an hour later take some kind of sugar @ 10g per iu used.

my advice would be to read alot more bro--

its nothing to fuck with -- even experienced users run into problems--
