slobber, that was awesome. hated to see ed get hurt though. you'll be glad to know that after well over a year off i am doing meet. i was gonna do bench only til i found out apf will not count single lift records unless you do full power. I aint much on token lifts. so tomorow i will be donning my dbl denim karin squat suit with two training sessions left to prepare for the meet. its been over a year since i had it on. after my back injury i squatted 1 last time (wanted to make sure i was injured) in it and hit 700 for 4. it is all dusty but we gonna shake the cobwebs out of it tomorrow. i'll hit ya tomorrow night with the out come. great video. mcvicar should be there as well. he is dissapointed after his showing at the arnold but stuff happens. that is the first meet in 25 years that kellum has bombed. saw on another board where gary frank hit an 884 bench thurday in the gym.

pullinbig--where can I go to get involved in powerlifting? I am bodybuilding right now but eventually I would like to try powerlifting. I am a very competitive person and this sport may just suit my nature.

Find an organization that schedules meets close enough to you, and then see if you like their rules by hitting their site.

Tryn, unfortunately organizers submit their meets to the site so not all of them are probably aware and so on. If you decide on USAPL or APF or whatever, check out their site and read up on the rules, see if you like them - then look at their site where they will list meets and so on.
One organizations California state bench record for 275s is only 550, they aren't top notch obviously but you could do some sissy meets if you think you can knock something down just for kicks.
