Is DNP catabolic?

Do you even Lift

I've read up a lot and it seems that it is not catabolic. But I seem to have lost too much weight for how I look and the water retention I have. I started at 176 lbs, about 11-12% bodyfat. I've ran it for about 12 days now dosed at 250mg ED and I'm down by 10 lbs, I would of expected to look ridiculously shredded for that much weight loss, but I don't, my muscles look flat and I AM holding water, I thought DNP depletes glycogen stores, so some of the weight loss would be from that but if I'm holding water how can that be the case? Anyone have any input to this?

Also I'm eating around 2500 kcals a day, anything I want really but making sure protein is around 180g and I've only been to the gym twice since starting DNP, due to feeling tired all the time.

I've always heard that it was extremely catabolic. I don't have evidence to prove it so don't hold me to this. I've never taken it because of that though

god...this is a nightmare. Why are you messing with DNP? I'm not saying I'm against it but its use is not easy to justify, especially at 176lbs at 12%. Losing 10 lbs will not make you shredded. Most guys think that they are all muscle and do not understand how much fat they actually have on them. Your diet on DNP should not be whatever you want. It needs to be very clean with a surplus of complex carbs which helps with the depletion. Fats should be low and protein obviously high. You should be going to the gym just doing lighter workouts and mild cardio.

I would get off of it if I were you and learn how to diet. If that's you in your avatar, the last thing you need is DNP.

Agree with Dialtone. It is something I have run before and it is totally unnecessary to run as well. Not worth putting your body through that bullshit for weight that you can drop by dieting a tad longer. And at 176lbs I would be trying to add some muscle and not worry so much about the cut. Cutting can be done later once you build up a strong base. Can DNP burn fat?? Yes, but in my experience with it, it really depleted my water. Once, I got off of it, the 10-12lbs that I lost were not kept off. Once I got off and keep my water intake going, I put on 5 lbs and my muscles looked real flat.
