Hey guys I'm tryin to make my tne with Gso and or eo. All I can find tho is it being made with a guaicol blend. Can I just use a Gso/eo blend??

I have never brewed tne, but based on my brewing experience, my guess would be that tne can be brewed with just GSO.

The melting point of tne (Test base) is 152-156 °C.

As long as you can heat the tne to the point where it melts completely, the GSO should be good enough to hold it. If it turns cloudy (crashes), just reheat several times, and that should fix the problem.

At any rate, these are educated guesses based on my experience. The only way to find out for sure is by doing a small sample brew, let's say 1g.

Cheers.

It can be done, and ive seen Recipes without Guaiacol, But its hard enough to get Test base to hold with, Im sure it would be harder without. Ive read to use test propionate recipe for TNE no Guaiacol. YEA, I hate the SMELL too!!
