personally, i don't think it matters other than the fact that you should be lifting when you have the most energy and have fueled your body with enough water and food. if thats the only time you can lift, then don't worry about it, just get yourself awake and ready to work out hard and you'll be fine.

Well...lol...studies show that it's best to lift earlier in the day and most prefer it too. Lifting so close to bed time is not always the best thing, but, if that's the only time you can lift, don't give it a second thought. Do what you need to do.

Like blackbeard said, it's better than not training at all, but if at all possible I'd find another time.

The reason I say that, is I like to have a post-workout drink of protein/dextrose, and then an hour and a half later, have a solid meal with the same protein to carb ratio (1:2), and IMO it wouldn't be the best idea to sleep immediately after loading up on the carbs.

i do a similar thing bro. it works better for me with my schedule. Plus im more of a night person. Just make sure you get a get meal of carbs and protein before you sleep to make sure u dont get too catabolic.

thanks guys for the info i was just concernd that with sleeping right after that my body cant recover from what i just put it threw i dunno like how they say everything slows down when you sleep.

I always found that I got the best results from lifting early in the morning, but since I've moved off to college my class schedule (and the fact that I'm a night owl who usually doesn't go to sleep until 1-2 or later) just doesn't allow it. Instead, I lift about 7 at night, and like they said, it's better than not going at all....

One thing I've found, and lots of people agree on, is lifting that late at night will keep you from going to sleep as soon, or sleeping as soundly as normal.
