I cant seem to drop weight im about 225, 15% BF, eat only 2200 cals a day and do 30 min of cardio 5 X a week, plus walk 2 miles a day.

The only thing I can think is the food im eating is not agreeing with my weight loss goals, i eat dairy and gluten along with my proteins and fat.

So im thinking changing the food I eat, and trying Paleo may aid my fat loss goals.

How long have you been eating 2200 calories? How many times a day do you eat? Do you do any weight training?

What dairy are you eating?

it might work better but not because of gluten and dairy.. but because your body enjoys lower carbs for fat burning..

2200 cals.. years.... ive weight trained for years... i over did cardio a few years ago.. not sure where the slow down happened.

we evolved out of our paleolithic stage as humans a very long time ago, unless you have a medical reason to do it imo the paleo diet makes no sense.

3J... I'm not digging for free dietary advice here... but I'd love to know your thoughts on the Paleo diet...

It seems to be that it's better than most of the fad diets out there, and could be tweaked and pulled to be the base of a decent protocol for a female fitness competitor to follow?

You are probably over estimating your BMR or TDEE. You could try going lower after a full two week diet break to reset your metab0lic hormones leptin, t3, etc. Then try a stronger deficit. I believe paleo works for a lot of people because they consume a lot of protein which has the highest satiation of any macro nutrient. Basically, it's more filling. Buying going low carb, you are avoiding an entire macro nutrient and this free's up a lot of calories. Whenever you take out one macro nutrient you really have to overeat the other stuff to get into a positive energy state. Eating a lot of meat and vegetables is a lot harder than eating a greasy pizza with carbs, fat and protein.

Carb refeeds are an amazing tool for resetting leptin and thyroid hormone. They help decrease hunger and cortisol and can help you bust through fat loss plateaus. CKD is a pretty solid diet for cutting.
