I am not sure if others are having this problem but I cam unable to get to uncle z's.
I get "You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server."
Never got this before!

I have this too which sucks because I just placed an order today, which I never got a confirmation email about. I also already did the moneygram and have no way of emailing him my order number because I cannot get on his site.

yep down everywhere, usually means shutdown

I don't know what you mean by shutdown, but I've been dealing with Z for three years and he has had server problems on a handful ocassions where he is down between 1-5 days. I hope this is short because as I've stated I just placed an order today.

Jeez people I'm sure someone probably updated a file and didn't update the file permissions when they uploaded it. It happens even to the best IT guy now and then, especially in linux.

Oh guys comeon... There's a little button in the control panel that simply turns the site off... There's no probelm with the site, it's shut off on purpose.

its probably a technical issue with the server hardware or software or a networking issue....

what do you mean? What Little Button?

Sorry... Webmasters have a control panel on their server like plesk or something like that. In there you can flick your domain of or on at will, add email addresses, subdomains and anything that has to do with your site. To me it looks like somebody just shut it off because there are no error messages to sugest program failure. All I see is a default shutdown message.

This is just great I just sent him my bread last week and still waiting on an update hope everything is OK

You guys are all being paranoid the same way I get sometimes with Z,and then everything works out just like it does for everyone else I ever see with a case of paranoia on this board. I stated before I've seen the exact same thing happen on five different occassions with his server failing and it being up and running in 1 to 5 days. I also just got an email from Z telling me they are having server issues and will be back up and running tomorrow. I guess this means we could all breathe again. LOL

I'm sure there are controls for webmasters but this has happened several times before and Z always has claimed it's his server. I also highly doubt Z is his own webmaster either. Why would anyone flick a switch and turn a website off when every minute up probably means money for him anyway?

The name of the game is that at any given time, it can be the "final" shut off when it comes to being a source. No one lasts forever, though we all wish they would.

your right I probably am being paranoid, he has come through for me like 9x's haha

Z's response on another forum from earlier this afternoon.

"It's a server issue and problem with permission
I tried to change it but I can't do anything with it !
So now it's up to my server provider and how long it will take him to respond to my email

so fingers crossed !

z. "
