Japan earthquake

So we know an 8.9 earthquake rocked the fuck outta Japan last night and is sending tsunami warnings all over.

Our boy Ezred lives in Japan. Got an email from him this morning. They are ok. Said it took 4 hours to drive 1.3 miles and they will probably have to sleep in the car tonight. And there house is OK as well. most importantly they are ok.

Keep them in your thoughts as they deal with this crazy nonsense.

8.9 would be insane! was about 50 miles from epicenter of a 5.8 when i lived in california and that was pretty damn impressive

The video footage is insane. I couldn't imagine going through that. I'm glad to hear that Ezred is ok.

i have talked with him a few times and he said they were in the embassy when all hell broke loose, so they were fine.

Oh man I was thinking of him when I seen this on the news last night.

I didn't know where he lived for sure - but I thought I remember you (RJ) mentioning something about him living there.

Our hearts go out to him and his family!

Our company's HQ is in Japan and we have executives here with family still over there. Still trying to find out if everyone is alright.

Incredible footage. I have been intrigued with tsunami's for years. Their destructive power is matched. It is indeed a sad time for japan.

I was a first responder in January 2010 and got caught in the 6.9 aftershock in Haiti. I will never know how our building stood. It shook like jello side to side and up and down at the same time. Very frightning

was pretty intense here in tokyo, it's fuck'n ridiculous elsewhere. as i said in the other thread, i've put a group together we're gonna head up there tomorrow. something like 10 thousand people that have yet to make contact with anyone. tsunami are ridiculous. people think it's just a little wave and comes in and washes back to see it's INSANE. i have 2 friends i haven't gotten in touch with that are in an area that got wiped out. 1 was an old team member of mine. i got a feeling he's dragging people out of bad situations right now.
