Just can't get below 7%-help

300lbs of Heavenly Joy
That last % of bodyfat just seems impossible to get rid of. I want to get down to 6% before I go back to bulking, but that last percentage point just will not disappear. I live like a wrestler cutting weight--starving myself along with lots of circuit work. In the last two weeks I have lost an additional 7lbs but I cannot get the bodyfat below 7%. Any suggestions would be appreciated I am frustrated because I am working so hard and I just can't seem to rid myself of that last percentage of bodyfat.

If you are already that low,and you don't plan on competing, then I wouldn't worry about.I think 7% is plenty low enough, espescially since you are planning on bulking anyway.I think you will just end up losing more muscle than what it's worth, that's just my opinion.

Why do you starve yourself, in your own words? That serves no good purpose, unless you want to be small your whole life.

Bodyfat measurement isn't even that accurate anyway... I would just settle for "7" and start bulking.

But anyway, some anecdotal stuff - I was always at around 6% naturally most of my life. But now that I'm not 150 lbs anymore, it's really hard to get under 9-10%. It's always going to be hard to shed that last little bit of fat, I think.
Are you using any drugs right now? I would definitely not starve myself if I wasn't on something to help keep that lean mass. Even then, it is still questionable. Unless you don't mind losing a little lean mass, that is.

I am not using calipers they are as accurate as a Ouija board, my friend is doing a research at a large state university and he has access to the best method-water displacement-this is 100% accurate and that 7% just is hard to crack. I agree the body seeks an equilibrium and it fights going below a certain bodyfat percentage-I am going to give it another two weeks of stringent dieting before I go back to bulking.

Honestly, you probably just need a cheat day... When was the last time you "pigged out"?

If you starve yourself your metabolism is just going to slow down.... you need to eat, adjust your diet, and do more cardio. Post up your diet so we can take a look

Yep. I hear some of my buddies take a couple weeks eating at maintenance every so often when cutting. It seems to work for them.
