Try your local colleges, the literary departments are full of people in the field. Some of them may have the proper routes to travel.

On that note, many people get it rough their first book because your an unkown noob they are the ones taking risks on you if you do find a publisher. Just a heads up. Best of luck though.

My sister is an English professor at Miami University(a "Dr."), needless to say I have to type my emails/texts to her very accurately lol.

If you think its good enough to get published you should probably figure out a way to protect yourself . You dont want your ideas getting ripped off...... I'm just saying! Until you find someone you can trust. You could do like a poormans patent and mail a copy of your draft to yourself and dont open it. At least it will be dated and have a government seal on the postage. Jmo Good luck!
