Protein Pancakes

1/4 C. Egg Whites
1 Scoop Protein Powder

1. Mix it up good.
2. Make like pancakes.

I like to use PB or almond butter on them. They are pretty good plain too. If you use unflavored protein powder you can use these like tortillas too.

0 carbs!



Protein Brownie

1 Scoop Protein Powder
1/2 Tbls. PB or almond butter
water

1. Mix together powder and water until its about as thick as pancake batter in bowl.
2. Add in PB and mix more.
3. Mircowave on high for about 40 seconds. ( The outter part will cook and the side will stay soft.) Just dont over cook it, or else it will be dry *yuck*

You can eat it off the sides and dip it in the middle or just mix it all up.

Add in 1 Tbls. heavy cream or almond milk after you cook it if you want.

-Variation

Do the first 2 steps and put it in the freezer for 15-20 mins or until cold and its like ice cream.
 
3-5 Egg Whites
120g. Ground Turkey
Salt free, Sugar free Taco seasoning
2 Tbls. Neufatchel Cheese ( Light Cream Cheese)

Cook turkey egg whites and seasoning until done. (duh)
Put cream cheese in and mix up!

Its good I swear... lol

Tuna Romaine Roll Ups

1 can (5oz) Tuna
2 Tbls. Light Mayo
3 Romaine leaves
20-40g of shredded cheddar cheese

Mix Tuna and mayo
Put on Romaine (using romain like taco shells)
Top with cheese.

-You can mix the cheese in and microwave the tuna mix, then spread on lettuce, if you want the cheese melted.

You can also add a small amount of hot sauce, taco sauce,salsa or avocado. Just watch your carbs.
 
Taco Salad

1lb Ground Beef
1 packet Taco seasoning
Lettuce
shreeded cheese
tomatos
sour cream

Meat Lovers Omelette :

Scrambled Egg mix
Ham
Pepperoni
Pepper Jack Cheese
 
I really wanted PB&J today and came up with this instead..

Protein pancakes for bread

Almond Butter

and for jelly...

2 Tbls. Light cream cheese & a small amount of Strawberry sugar free Jello powder

It was good, my new favorite.
 
Good topic. I'm about 3 weeks in, down 19 pounds since Jan 12th. My latest treat is low carb tortillas. I make fajitas or breakfast burritos.
 
Good thread Blondie! I am about to jump onto the keto diet train, gonna suck! Hopefully this will make it suck a little less, haha. Can't wait to see the results after this though!!!!!
 
Some buff fitness lady, told me to mix up oats, protien powder, bananas, and cook it till you can fold it and flip! She said she snacks on it thru out the day. I tried and burnt it:( Ate it anyways but the bananas make it taste good! Pb & J with crumbled bran flakes and rolled up in a low fat wheat tortila is a treat that is hard to resist for me! Jus my op. might be off topic but if Canada keeps on getting medals who care!! < sorry had 2 throw that in! peace....
 
There is a recipe forum.... I'm lazy tho when it comes to the end of my day. Ohwell reading posts is educating and bring on the posts..... Searching threads is hard on my eyes sometimes...peace. GoCgo!...
 
Chocolate protein powder, carob-sweetened chocolate chocolate chips, milled flax seen, organic peanut butter, choice of nut, water and/or Hood Carb Countdown Milk -- mix it all together to a pudding-like consistency and spoon it into a muffin tin. Freeze and enjoy. Unbelievable treat. No zero carbs but you can keep it pretty low.
 
I like doing the romaine wraps to eliminate bread. Does anyone know the amount of lettuce you can consume in a day before its too much? Like 2 romaine leafs at lunch and two at dinner ok?

Its all personal. I know some people who can eat 30g of carbs and stay in keto. I have to go below 15g to go into keto. But you should be fine at 4 leaves, depending on what other carbs your eating.
 
blondie, i think you are misunderstanding keto diets. there is no way that 15g of carbs (primarily fiber) will take you out of ketosis. lettuce will never hurt you, nor will green, fibrous vegetables...you need that fiber. i think you are possibly over analyzing dieting and adding extra unnecessary stress to the process.

you dont need all of these extraneous foods and recipes for keto, just keep it simple - meat, greens, nuts, egg yolks, olive oil for keto, thats all.
