Fast background, been off and on TRT for over 4 years. (Mostly on). 47 years young, good diet and workout regime.

These lab results are similar to the results I received 3 months prior. (I do quarterly blood work and donate regularly.)

Current weekly regime:

200 mg Test Cypionate
200 mg Deca (for chronic joint issues)
Both split into 100 mg doses every 3.5 days
500 iu HCG taken 2x per week the day before Test/Deca
1.25 mg Anastrazole weekly (.25 mg taken 5 days a week)

Results are 3 days after injection, in morning/fasted. (So almost a true "Through ")

858 total Test 300-890 ng/dl scale
3.2 % Free (high) 1.6-2.9 % scale
275.7 T Free (high) 47.0-244.0 pg/ml scale
15 SHBG 10-50 nmol/L scale
1.417 TSH .350-4.50 uIU/ml scale
4.3 T4 (Low) 4.5-12.0 if/dl scale
29 T3 uptake 22-35 % scale
1.2 Thyroxine index (Low) 1.4-3.8 scale

CBC and ********* Panel's are in normal ranges

34.3 Estradiol 0.0-39.0 pg/ml scale (sensitive assay test)
15.8 Cortisol 4.3-22.4 ug/dl scale
1.98 PSA <=4.00 scale
8.2 Homocysteine 4.0-15.4 umol/L scale
IGF 186 52-328 ng/ml scale

Should I be concerned with the low T4 and Free Thyroxine Index?

And comments and help is greatly appreciated!!

Thank you in advance!!

PS, overall I feel great and feel like I'm finally "dialing in"

Thanks Mega. I don't have any concerns. I was just wondering if I should be concerned with the slightly low results.

Does everything else look good to you? I did not want to wear anyone out with the entire report, so I just listed the basic points.

Your TSH looks good. If you have thyroid concerns, check your Free T3/T4.

If all my doctor checks is T4 to determine whether I'm good... should I find a new doctor then? Could I potentially NOT be Hypo?

And

If I've been prescribed T4 for a couple years, will I return to normal function if I stop administering it?

Don't want to thread jack.. but it's related, and your replies have me wondering if I really have ever had thyroid problems..

If you are taking T4, I would check Free T3. My novice understanding is that some individuals have issues converting T4 to T3.

Additionally, it is my novice understanding that a healthy thyroid is pretty resilient. Might be worth looking into.
