LabCorp changed reference range for Test

I was looking over a lab report from LabCorp I had done on October 3rd. Under my Serum Test value shows the following:

***Effective October 17, 2011 Testosterone, Serum reference interval for Adult Male will be changing to 348-1197.

(The old range was 249-836)

Not sure if this is news to anyone, but it was to me. And good news at that!

Hmm, very interesting. I would like to see what provoked them. So hypothetically speaking, if you were at 340ng/dL on October 16th, a doctor would say you are fine and within range. However, the next day you would be hypogonadal!!

Thats good because I have had a 330 test level before and it felt like death.
