I would hope most of you would not have to go through what I am going through. I didnt have a lot of money going in to my cycle and didn't buy my own foods and ate at home . If you have spanish parents and put salt on everything and when you tell them not to they think garlic salt doesnt carry any saltand then you are bloated. Remmeber that your diet should be your own unless some one is in training like you are. I hope this helps the newbies.

lol, man i spice up all my food with Tony Cacheres creole seasoning (dunno if its available anywhere outside louisiana) which has a high sodium content, you cutting or have hypertension?

I do not share your experience my fiancee cooks for me, she is a chef and when I am cutting she makes the kind I meals I need. When I am bulking she does what she does best, cooks and cooks and cooks--its awesome. She loves to cook delicious healthy meals and I love to eat.

I use that too. It is available low sodium as well. Comes in a white can instead of the green one.

Also to consider. ....how about doing some shopping of your own? Buy your fam a jar of preminced garlic. Make it easier for them to adapt to your diet. Two way street, hun.

In the end the efforts you make help both them and you. :)

My mother doesn't understand my eating habits. She thinks im crazy for eating tons of eggs during the week plus she complains i make the whole house smell of a fart cause of the eggs. My mom doesnt cook for me because basically i eat all the same shit everyday chicken breast, steaks, tuna, eggs. Some people just dont understand the principles of bodybuilding.

so teach them, my parents didnt know the difference between a carb and a protein, not everyone is as privelaged as us bro, teach them, you may ass years on to their life

Precisely. My Mom's actually a nurse and over the years she's seen me on some pretty whacky diet plans. My Dad has a masters in physical education. As long as I sat down and explained to them what I was trying to achieve they were always supportive as long as they didn't think it to be dangerous.

Now...your folks are probably different than mine were but it couldn't hurt to point out a few things. Sit down with them and explain some of your goals. Explain some of your diet principles. Brushing them off like "Oh. You won't understand" accomplishes nothing.

Ya never know. They may see your way and adapt a few of your healthy eating tips into their own lifestyle.

Worth a shot at least wouldn't you say?
