lifting late

posted this here cause figured u guys could help me.


i workout now from about 8-10pm.


Do alot of you guys that train late not eat carbs(potatoes or pasta) for a post workout meal?
 
Geeze...i thought i worked out late. I usually work out anywhere from 6-8pm and usually can't eat a full meal till 8-9:30 pm. Sux cuz i don't know if i should eat alot or not. DOn't like going to bed really full, so i usually try not to over do it, but i still eat some carbs, good amt of protein and veggies. Usually, if u're working hard all day(like i do, doing construction work) the few carbs at night don't hurt ya. Just don't over do it. thats my .02
 
well i figure my body needs the carbs and my muscles can benefit, so i guess i will stick to pasta or potatoes and my fish or steak or chicken.

I just feel like i hold back with the meal because i am paranoid about carbs before bed, but on the other hand i really need those cals!!!


other input of how you guys deal with late workout meals that could help lots..thanks

i workout usually from 9-10 give or take half an hour.... and yes I still do the carb thing afterwards. I wouldnt realy worry unless your trying to lean out. It wont make that much a differance eating carbs late. Just keep it clean.
 
i workout sometimes at 10-1130, it sucks knowing i have to stay awake to eat since im tired. i bring a shaker with powder in it and mix it at the gym after a workout, take it with creatine ester. then when i get home i eat a chicken breast and a potatoe, wait 45min. to a hour and eat another chicken breast and a potatoe. then b4 bed milk and protein shake. i gain fat easy and im not really seein much fat gain so i think its ok.
