longlasting deadlifting injury help pls

Backstory, first off, I have lumbar disc degeneration spurred from a violent cycling accident when I was 14. (landed on my lower back on a concrete divider) I have 2 discs impinging on nerve roots and 1 abutting my spinal cord. Problem is it went undiagnosed until I injured my back in the gym. It's been more than a year, I'm 25 now. Over the years I've made numerous attempts to try and solve the mystery of my condition. I saw a variety of specialists, completed a battery of tests and nobody could come up with anything. Time passed and I continued my day to day.My back was my #1, aside from volume work, I lifted 500lbs 2-3x for 3 sets every week. I always stretched and tried to crack my back beforehand but sometimes I just couldn't loosen up and I'd lift anyway. Well, I lifted my 500 about 5 inches off the floor and just popped. Completely knocked the wind out of me. I've popped before on a deadlift but it felt good like a chiropractors work, never felt anything like it before or since. I hobbled out to my car and drove to the hospital and I was immediately sedated. Before my injury, I decided to take another stab at it (figuring out the cause of my condition) but ended up receiving the results 1-2 weeks after the accident. I thought I was gonna be fine in a few days or a week at most and went cold turkey, no gym time. But nothing changed, a month passed and I really became worried. One month turned to many and I got fat. I figured it wasn't a slipped disc or hernia (to my knowledge I've never experienced either) but rather my back disease/disorder got worst. I eventually got back into the swing of things and lost all the weight. But I have this paralyzing pain that permeates my entire life not just lifting. Sometimes I can't even get my shoes/pants on or off and if I lie in bed a certain way my feet go numb. I'm inactive and fat again and although I've been without health insurance for some time, my new provider is about to kick in. But besides getting an MRI, I figured I'd reach out here. I am and have always been natural, non-alcoholic and drug-free. Any idea what this could be? A bulging/ruptured disc? I've feared paralysis for years but all the doctors I've seen have been dismissive...
