Hello, I am a 21 year old who has been having problems with energy/strength/mental clarity/anxiety. I strength trained for 4years with 2 being being serious and my results were almost nonexsistent. I also have mild gyncomastia which I would like to fix without surgery if possbile.

Here is the hormone section of a set of blood tests I got.

Prostate Specific Ag, Serum 0.7 ng/mL 0.0-4.0 SE
Roche ECLIA methodology
Estradiol 29.1 pg/mL 7.6-42.6 SE
TSH 5.760 High uIU/mL 0.450-4.500 SE
DHEA-Sulfate 487.4 ug/dL 211.0-492.0 SE
Reference Range:
Adult Male: 30 - 85
Dihydrotestosterone 40 ng/dL ES
Reference Range:
Adults: <151
Pregnenolone, MS 180 ng/dL ES
Free Testosterone(Direct) 13.8 pg/mL 9.3-26.5 BN
Testosterone, Serum 471 ng/dL 348-1197 SE
FSH 8.3 mIU/mL 1.5-12.4 SE
LH 6.6 mIU/mL 1.7-8.6 SE

I might have a thyroid problem, I also feel my testosterone numbers are lower then what they really should be, I'm not sure if it's causing all my problems or not but I'm interested in seeing if raising it would imporve my health.

The thing is I'm not interested in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or synthroid yet, I am interested in trying possible alternatives which would be taken shortterm or done a couple months a year. I don't want to possibly make anything worse.

I was looking at trying a testosterone restart using clomid, does anyone here have experience with that?

- Your estrogen looks ok. Has a doctor diagnosed you with gyno?

- Have you used drugs or steroids in the past?

- There are lots of other things that could be causing your symptoms and lowering your T. Thyroid is one so get that dealt with first. How are you sleeping? What's your diet like? Alcohol intake? Drug use? Over-training can lower your Test levels. Ever been hit hard in the testicles?

- What time of the day did you have your lab test performed? T levels are highest in the morning and should be tested then. And of course you need to make sure you didn't do anything in the days prior to your lab test to cause your results to be affected negatively.

If I was 21 I would want my T and Free T to be higher than yours too. It is good that you are looking into addressing it and not just looking to start medicating right away. You're doing the right thing. Find a good doctor to help guide your through figuring this out and keep talking to people on this forum.

My gyno is similar to this:

or this

I have never taken or done anything which is commonly associated with these symptoms. I don't drink, I don't smoke or take any drugs, I get 10-12 hours of sleep per night(but don't feel rested). I eat a balanced organic diet which has plenty of protein. I don't think I overtrained using conventional standards as it wasn't possible for me to(as in I physically couldn't train more then 3 days a week). I don't think I have ever been hit in the testicles, I do have one testicle which is undescended but is pretty close to base of penis.

The tests were done at 8am. I did a testosterone test a couple months before which put me in a similar range(it used different scales, but put me at 350 with a normal range of 200 to 900).

Also I masturbate once every 3 days and look at porn about 30min a day, I don't think this a problem - could it negatively impact any of these things?

I have gone to an endo but so far he hasn't been very helpful, do you have any suggestions on finding endos?

Anyway here are some more parts of my blood test, I was told my total cholestrol was very low, I don't know if this is a problem.

T. Chol/HDL Ratio 3.0 ratio units 0.0-5.0 SE
LDL Cholesterol Calc 55 mg/dL 0-119 SE
VLDL Cholesterol Cal 8 mg/dL 5-40 SE
HDL Cholesterol 32 Low mg/dL >39 SE
Triglycerides 39 mg/dL 0-114 SE
Cholesterol, Total 95 Low mg/dL 100-189 SE
Iron, Serum 92 ug/dL 40-155 SE
ALT (SGPT) 10 IU/L 0-44 SE
AST (SGOT) 14 IU/L 0-40 SE

Sex Horm Binding Glob, Serum 26.4 nmol/L 16.5-55.9 SE
Triiodothyronine,Free,Serum 3.7 pg/mL 2.0-4.4 SE
Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy 36.2 ng/mL 30.0-100.0 SE

-Sounds like it might be worth trying a restart with clomid or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) to see if you can crank things up.
-Have you checked with a urologist about your undescended testicle? That may be contributing to your problem.
-You should start supplementing Vitamin D if you aren't already to get your levels up. Try 4000 iu's every day.
-Sleeping 10-12 hours a day and not feeling refreshed when you wake up sounds like a problem. A sleep study could be worth while to make sure you don't have apnea. Poor sleep definitely can lower your T. Or you could be suffering from depression.
- I'm not qualified to diagnose gyno from a picture. I would consult a doctor and have a physical examination performed.
-So you watch porn every day for 30 minutes but only masturbate once every three days? Are you having sexual relations the other days? Sounds like your libido is low.

Best way to find a good endo or other doctor is to get a referral. Try posting where you live and maybe one of us can recommend a good one. Another option is using the board sponsor. Their name is IMT (Increase My T) and you will see their ad posted on the right of the screen. Lot's of guys here use their services and seem to be very happy with them. I don't however, so I can't vouch for them personally.

I just got a letter back from my Endo who pretty much ignored everything, I don't think I want to go back to him.

I have not seen a urologist, I might go to one, but who? My endo is useless, I don't think getting a referal from my current endo is a good idea.

I have started taking D3 at 7500 IUs. I don't know if I have sleeping problem, I don't wake up often. I do have mild depression but the depression started after these other problems and is at least partially a result of my failed training. I think fixing my physical health will at least reduce if not remove my depression.

I don't have sex. I watch porn as a stress reducer/time waster, I don't watch porn to masturbate, I watch porn to reduce stress and then sometimes I masturbate. I often just collect images/video, I guess as a hobby. When I do masturbate I feel weird post masturbation, I am knocked out the next day.

I live in southern oregon, but I will be willing to go anywhere within reasonable driving distance include california and northern oregon/southern washington.

I will also look at IMT, does anyone have any personal experience with them? I'm interested in really solving these problems with a doctor, I don't really feel good about doing self medication but if it's the only way anything gets done, I will.
