So most of the time when I pin barely any blood comes out. Today I did an injection the same way as always... 1.5 inch 21 guage to the quad. Except this time when I pulled it out there was a lot of blood. Like enough to nearly soak a handy wipe. What's up with that? This may sound silly but is there any way for the blood to sort of "rinse" out the test from the injection site? It stopped bleeding in like 30 seconds, but still, this was a new one for me.

Did you aspirate?

You prob nicked a vein on your way in. I've done it as well. No prob.
 
21g 1.5" for quads. That's a big pin! Have2 is right. You probably nicked a vein on the way in or out. As long as you aspirated you're fine.
 
fuck yea, thats a fucking harpoon to me. I hit a vein yesterday, very annoying, about 1/2 ml of blood came into syringe. In the ventro too, and i never hit it there, usually. I think, the leaner i get, the harder they are to miss.
