low dose nolvadex therapy vs low dose clomid

Just wondering if anyone has tried a low dose nolva protocol instead of a low dose clomid for trt or raising natural testosterone levels?

I imagine the main reason for not using nolva over clomid is the shutting down of igf-1, but at what dose will shutdown begin to occur? If the old saying that 20mg's of nolva = roughly 150mg's of clomid holds true then it would seem that a relatively small dose of nolva could be used since most clomid therapies are around 10-25mg a day give or take.

I should've asked about ass smells

I know two people who use clomid low dose because they do not want to go on trt. Both of them have been doing this for over a yr. I did this for two months on Clomid at 12.5 eod and felt great. I would go see a doc though and get bloods no one wants to be on clomid forever. But i disagree with everyone that says nolva over clomid nolva does not make my balls hang like clomid. Even on 12.5 eod clomid it lookedlike i was a wax statue at madam tusays wax museum and someone took a hot blow dryer to my nut sack.

To answer your question Clomid not nolva and its not a good idea but people do it

Can you explain why it's "not a good idea?"

@OP, I'd go Clomid over nolva. I currently use clomid for monotherapy, just get pre and on-clomid bloods. SERM Monotherapy is really only beneficial if you are are secondarily hypogonadal though. Do you have baseline bloodwork?

Yes the consensus is clomid and its a very good alternative to trt if it works for you. I am on clomid now and the sides are getting bad

None personally, no. Read a lot of positive anectdotal evidence for it though. I've never needed it as I don't get any sides whatsoever from Clomid.
