Low T test just confirmed (29 yr old)

Hey everyone. I have been feeling pretty lethargic and mildly depressed lately for no apparent reason. I just received my blood work a few days ago and here's the results:

LDL and HDL and trigs are perfect.

Test was 258 - the scale for "normal" is 240-850. (21-49 age threshold)

So technically, I guess I am "normal" according to the scale, but only by a marginal 18 points. It seems that 258 might be normal for a 49 yr old but not at my age.

No cycles in over a year btw.

Not sure what to do next, I just want to get back to a healthy level and feel better. Any advice?

Test was at 8:00 am. I am actually 28 (29 in April), but cannot edit the title of thread.

I have been researching this lately and it seems that at my age maybe I should try a "reset" with a fertility drug. Seeing as how another guy on this forum was put on Androgel for low T scared me because I am married with 2 kids and I absolutely would not risk transference.

Unfortunately my "doc" is a PA not an MD. Should I go to the Endo or just try my own reset?

Curious, what's wrong with a PA? My Urologist who's dealing with me for low T (I'm 34 in low 200's) is a PA. He's talking about having me do the gel but I'm not married and I live alone so I'm not as opposed to androgel. About the PA though, I was under the assumption they had pretty much the same training? My urologist who's a PA is also younger than the others there so I like to tell myself he's the most up to date, hopefully I'm right ! I see him Tuesday to talk about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), mine is technically "low" so luckily insurance will cover it. I have never cycled or used anything like that and I have low T, I guess I just got a bad roll of the dice

I'm 31, never cycled and tested at 288 earlier in the year. Tested at 356 a few months ago so technically within range but far from normal for a healthy active 31 year old. Saw an endo about a week ago, he ordered two more testosterone tests over the next 4 months. I feel like I've gotten a bad roll of the dice as well.

What was your estrogen levels and did you get LH and FSH tested as well?

He's just going to let you go on for 4 months feeling like that ?
It's true there are random fluctuations throughout the year.
those levels are low for 31 years old.
I had your levels (288 ng/dl) for 16 months(CONSISTENTLY)...felt like utter shit!
I came off my TRT...cause a genius GP said he found my problem with highly severe sleep apnea and thought everything would go *presto* and back to my mid range T...
I hope he suffers in life as he let me suffer for 16 months and gaining weight...

I must have done 8 labs in the 16 months off TRT....all of them were no more than 288 ng/dl...
With Adex E3D as well...
LH & FSH would climb to 4 & 3 IU/L...no increase in T

Gallows
258 ng/dl is not even healthy for a 49 year old....no one should have that level except a 90-95 year old.
Most Endo's and clinics who know what they are talking about say 13 Nmol/L (374 ng/dl) is the level of a 80 year old.
I can provide the link to the endo who says this.

Man, sorry to hear about the natty low test. At least I can blame myself for fuking around with a few ph cycles when I was younger. The upside is that there is some kind of solution for us. I guess it's just about figuring that out.

Nothing wrong with PAs, I like mine. I am not sure if he is knowledgeable enough onctbr issue, apparenty like most docs from reading on here.

I know man, I feel like shit. Constantly tired and I have to stay around 500 caloric deficit to maintain lower (11-12%) bf. thanks for the response bro, its helpful to know other people have been in the same shoes.

What did you do after your 16 months off testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? Did you go to another Endo or a clinic?

I was coned by my G.P. in trying to do without the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for a while. Because he is a big pill pusher and hates TRT.
Was seeing this G.P. for 6 years and he never sent me to a sleep study...
told him of my fatigue e.t.c. and would only giver me wellbutrin.
Found my own testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc...told me my levels were not optimum for my age...
I was at 507 ng/dl of T.T. when I saw this testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc...throughout the months prior I was even as high as 663 ng/dl....
I was 25 at the time...he told me my levels were not optimum for my age...I also had LOW FSH....
He put me on some Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) mono therapy....it took my T.T to 970 ng/dl after 8 weeks felt better!!!
But my sleep test was done years later showing severe sleep apnea...
I took Adex E3D while off TRT...took supplements, worked out the last 5 months...nothing helped.
I gained 23 pounds while off TRT...
I was hoping to get my mid range T back because the sleep therapy helped me out so much...
I can't get those levels back...
I was stuck at 265-288 ng/dl T.T. and extremely irritable, rage, low energy, low libido, mild depression, don't want to do nothing. list goes on and on. Doc couldn't give a fuck!
I walked!
