Managing Blood Pressure on TRT

I was, and probably still am, under the high end for BP but know that I am borderline and the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is probably driving it up some by the way my body has been feeling lately. I considered talking with my doc about it as she has reccommended looking into medication previously.

I thought I would give a go at managing it naturally before going for the meds though so have a few supplements on the way based on some of the resarch I have done on 'ology and other sources.

I am using an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and a manageable does of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) - 250 mg per week (split between 2 doses) and .5 - 1.0 arimidex every other day. I ordered some COQ 10, fish oil, ala and nac (based off a good post I saw here recently where the OP had good success in lowering his BP). I donate blood regularly and take one baby aspirin daily.

Outside of diet and exercise - do you guys have anything that you utilize to keep the BP down?

COQ10 is good as well as some calcium, magnesium, and potassium. ALA and NAC are good choices as well. I also take 10mg of Cialis EOD and that lowers by BP by around 10 points. At least you are keeping an eye on it. When guys run their BP too high for too long, that is when you are doing some damage to your organs. I recently got on 10mg per day of Lisinopril and I have been feeling much better. BP has been in check. Also, Adex usually kept my BP high so I switched to Aromasin and that has worked out better for me. Not a fan of Adex especially due to the elevated liver enzymes I was getting on it. Aromasin is a better choice in my opinion.

Since you already have knowledge with working out / Martial arts and diet. Try hawthorne berry. I take six capsules spread throughout the day. I have the GNC brand. Each capsule 150mg. 6 caps equals 900 mg a day.

Give it a shot. I take 100mg Test C E7D btw.

250 mg is quite a large dose. I agree with JJ, try some hawthorne berry. Also you can throw in some grape seed extract as well. I too have used the gnc brand, it works for me.

Ok will check out the Hawthorne berry - thanks guys.

Rip - I placed an order for a 3 in 1 magnesium, potassium, calcium supplement - thanks.

I found a good article by Mayo Clinic on natural BP management which recommends cantaloupe. Says it is a good source of potassium and it helps counteract sodium that the body takes in - will include it in my diet also.

I will try to update in a while - hopefully with positive results!

I am on a very similar protocol as you. I lowered my BP from an average of 135-90 to 125-85 by taking a nightly daily small dose of Cialis. Maybe 8-10mg. This also helped with very minor prostate issues cause by TRT. I also take L-Arginine which has been rumored to help.
