Mental effects of TRT

Hey guys,

I was curious what, if any, mental effects testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) had on you? For example, I have trouble concentrating and with mental clarity sometimes, which can make conversation or any task much more difficult than it needs to be. It's as if I don't have the mental energy to pay attention. And so I wanted to hear from you all if you had anything similar going on and what mental benefits testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) had for you.

I will say this, if you have low T it will help your mind.
I feel less axiety on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and feel better overall. but I have always been a thinker so i dont know about its effects that way, maybe some one else can chim in.

Are you blindly looking for answers or do you have labs? What you are describing can be caused by dozens of issues. You have to start a process of elimination if you haven't already done so. If you have labs post your results. If you do not, that's where you need to start.

All the mental effects I experienced were positive. I felt alive again. I could concentrate again. Starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) was awesome for me both physically and mentally.

mine were all positive as well. Just overall feel better. Now I could see a potential on higher doses or cycling where the stereotypical roid rage might happen or the feeling of being invincible.

My typing speed almost doubled on TRT.

This is very interesting!
Do you think that your typing speed increased as a result of your brain experiencing an increased processing speed? Based on this, I take it you're able to think much clearer and quicker than before starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? Also, in what other areas of your life has this affected, such as socially, memory, concentration, etc.??

Additionally, what is your testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocol?

Hey guys,

How would you say testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) affected your social life, if at all? I ask because I sometimes experience social anxiety. Did/does anyone else ever experience this, and if so did testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) have any effect on it?

This has been huge for me. Memory, reading comprehension, confidence, mental clarity are all improved. The "word salad " days are gone. 140mg T E7D.

This is very exciting, thanks so much for sharing! I'm not 100% what u mean by 'word salad', but based on what I experience ill guess that u mean u used to form sentences that weren't how u thought them in your head, or u weren't able to think with enough clarity to form a logical sentence or hold a logical/sensible conversation that had order or flowed well. I find myself constantly asking just random questions during conversations because I can't think of what to say, its almost like my brain doesn't have enough mental energy or something to keep up in conversations. I dunno- its tough to explain. I also have difficulty with reading comprehension and have always thought the 2 were linked. So awesome to hear!

I can't speak to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) yet but I plan on starting after this cycle as my total test came back at 400. 3 weeks into test e cycle and I can tell you the effect on libido has been dramatic. The wife is noticing and happier. If at the very least, I say that makes it worth it!

I have been on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for 9 months now and I have a bit more confidence and a tiny bit more energy and mental clarity, but no effect on my lack of libido and no difference in muscle gain or fat loss. My total & free T and Estradiol levels have always been in spec whenever I have had blood work and my diet is mostly paleo and I excersise 6 days a week. Individual results definitely vary, I have found...my hat is off to the guys that have enjoyed huge benefits.

If your trying to gain new muscle tissue the paleo diet might not have enough carbs, or bad fats. I usually just get leaner and stronger if I don't change my diet.

These things usually depend on how close men are to there genetic potential when they decide to increase there low T levels.

For instance if you are in good shape and have kept physical training consistent over the years you will not get the same body composition changes as the guy who was out of shape with low testosterone levels. You will have to eat to gain new muscle and increase T levels if your at your genetic potential.

For the libido thats really tough, you are one of the few guys it doesn't help. Men with ED are in a different category then the most of the low testosterone guys, many men with low T have no symptoms at all. Unfortunately men with ED have a lower success rate for erections and may need to also add P5 inhib.

Its tough because most guys get a rise in libido even if erections are not restored. I am sorry it hasn't helped you in that area.

Don't take the positive results for granted though, if you have noticed more energy and increased clarity, it is sure working for those things.

I hope something comes up in order to get your issue solved.
