Morning Training

I currently am on a cutter diet and get my carbs first thing in the morning and PWO. I have been working out in the evenings, but I am thinking about switching to mornings.

My question is will there be any difference between working out in the morning and evening. I am mainly concerned since I am on a cutter I get carbs first meal then have three more meals heavy in protein followed up by working out and my PWO carbs.

If I switch to morning I will be getting carbs in my first meal and then carbs in my second meal since it will be PWO. I will then not really have anymore carbs for the rest of the day as I will be eating mainly protein my next 4 meals. Will this be a problem, and will there be any difference in this from working out in the evening?

i wouldn't do it, i would imagine you will feel incredibly lethargic in the afternoon/night if you don't break up your morning and PWO carbs

are you doing a TCD or completely taking out carbs out of yoru diet?

I am trying to keep my carbs to a minimum. By that I mean around 70-80 daily and basically only from oats.

This isn't going to answer your question, but I must say it's refreshing to see a well written/spelled out post again. :dance2:

Haha, thanks man I do what I can. Going to school the last couple of years while working in a business environment brings about habits that are hard to break!

How much do you weigh? I only ask because 70-80 grams of carbs seems incredibly low, even for carb depletion. I would bump that up to 75 a meal (so 150 total) and go from there. I believe that cutting should be done slowly and carefully, with a lot of attention to how you feel and how much bodyfat you are loosing. You can always drop carbs from your baseline.

It is really nice to see someone with intelligent posts that are well thought out, as well as written out with proper grammar. I am actually writing papers for my final exams as we speak (I am a college student), and I like to take a break here and there and hop on ology. The most annoying thing for me at this moment is reading some threads where no advice can be given because people write so incoherently. I start correcting grammar rather than give advice to the person. It pisses me off because I'm trying to relax, but all that happens is I get more frustrated. I don't know if that made any sense, but anyway, back to writing about merging of Classical and Biblical traditions.

As of this morning I was at 167, and I am 5'9.5. I recently started working out again after not doing so for a few years. My initial goal is to basically get cut allowing my abs to show. I alternate working out different body parts 4 days a week. I do abs (Needsize's ab routine along with oblique crunches) in the middle of this. I also try to burn 200-300 calories a day, immediately after workout, by doing cardio on an elliptical.

I know the carbs seem low, but I am still taking in around 1600 calories a day. My diet is very clean during the week. I predominantly eat chicken, fish, meat, and shakes with water for protein. I get almost all of my carbs first thing in the morning and post workout via oats and 100% wheat toast. I do get some fats from lean hamburger along with flax in my post workout shake.

In a couple of months I may bulk and change up my diet, but my initial goal is to get cut along with having my abs show for the first time in a few years.

I just finished up finals and it is nice not to worry about it for a bit. Though, during my break I am taking a couple online courses. Between school, work, and working out it keeps me extremely busy. I do the same exact thing as you when it comes to taking a break during work and browsing this site and others. Also, the way that I see it, if I don't put a little time and effort in regards to presenting a question I have for you guys, why the hell should anybody put effort into helping me out?

Thanks.

i guess at 167lbs you can get away with 70-80 grams of carbs a day.... I'm pushing 240lbs, and I think my body would go into shock if I dropped that low.
