Muscle Cramping while training...

Gents,

Recently there has been a common theme during my training sessions, I have been having one or two muscles cramp/lock up in either the muscle group or associated muscle group being trained.

I am currently 4 weeks into a Test Prop (500mg/wk) & Tren Ace (525mg/wk) cycle, first with Tren. 36 yr/old 5'10" @ 210#. Issues didn't start till this week, aside from that everything has been great...muscle/strength gains and cutting fat.

Is this just being dehydrated, over training or something else entirely? Just concerned cause it has caused me to cut some sessions short. I am not experiencing any joint pain or strained muscle pain, just a muscle lock up that loosens up a few hours after training. Going to try to increase H20 intake but figured I'd ask.

Thanks for any advice in advance, this forum is incredible!

I deal with these by taking potassium supps and some liquid trace minerals.
Lots of guys use taurine.

I get those cramps sometimes trying to pin my glute, and have half my body start clinching up while I'm trying to push that oil in.

My experience with cramping in and out of the gym. Mostly out. Remember Gator aid was developed by the scientists at U of F for the guys training in this Florida weather.

The players ere getting dehydrated even though they were drinking water. It is the electrolytes as well as hydration.

My experience is hydration and potassium since all I was drinking was Gator Aid. I found that when I had a problem I had to hydrate much, much ,more and take large doses of potassium. I can't recommend the dosing. I was taking like 400 mgs at one dose mostly at night for night cramps. Some times I would take 250 or so with my pre-workout stuff.

Thanks for the reply's guys. I have been eating a banana before work outs but that's likely not enough potassium considering the workout intensity has increased. Been trying to stay away from Gatorade just due to the sugar calories however if I can't make it through the workout then the sugars are by far the least of the evils. I will pick up some potassium tabs tomorrow.

I've definitely increased my h20 intake but likely not enough again with increased intensity and heavier perspiration. How much H20 do you guys try to take in during days and during workouts?

Thanks for confirming some of my suspicions guys, great info always.

One banana for me wasn't near enough for my cramps. And when I thought I was hydrated I wasn't. Although I was not dehydrated It wasn't enough to take care of the cramps. I found that this also wasn't the same for others.

I drink between 1 and 2 gallons a day. It helps with flushing system helping keep liver values down ( not a substitute for liver supps) and also keeping water retention down.
