I hope you can help my niece, she is a good kid, hits the gym weekly and does ALLOT of cardio. She does not know what she is doing and I fear she is doing more harm than good. She is around 5' 4" tall and roughly 98lbs.
She is vegan, but now trying to add poultry to her diet.
She uses a protein powder, I do not know which one.
She has no definition, chest is flattening out. She looks soft to me, very little tone. She looks tired.
She has had menstrual cycle issues, none for up to 3 months at a time. She is not on any birth control and does not like the affects. (I'm thinking hormonal problems)
Her mood usually seems to be pretty good, she does not show signs of any depression that I can see. But, she really does not want to talk about this particular topic in regards to her physical health. But, I am her uncle, so I guess I should expect that.
She has to much acne, and struggles with it.
She is continually wiped out, sleeps up to 14 hours a day or more if she is left alone.
My thinking is that we have some emotional and hormonal imbalances in play here. I'm her uncle and am concerned for her, she is just now starting to ask questions and finally figuring out that something may not be right with her physically.
I would like to see her do a blood workup, look at hormonal levels along with the general stuff and then find a real doctor that knows what they are doing. The few times she has seen her doc, it is the same thing, just take these pills and all will be well. This has been my experience too, my low T is all in my head. I am now with Chip.
So, can any of you ladies help me out here or give me some ideas? I am honestly concerned and do not know what to do. Her grandmother, who raised her, (she was abandoned by her mother) is pushing me for answers that I do not have.
